• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Cat Bypass in Texas

As all Texas ryders know, the majority of our riding is done in high temps. I've got a 2013 STS with the new side panels, but am wondering if anyone has done a Cat Bypass? Specifically, 1) will it void warranty, 2) how does it impact DPS inspection*, and 3) does it help with the heat? *...

    Windshield Won't Stay Up!

It's a simple fix!! BRP recommends and sells a spring kit for the Ultra Touring Windshield. The springs are much stiffer and keeps the windshield in its position like glue. 1) if your dealer ordered it and installed it I would argue they should have known as its referenced on the product page...

Why isnt' the Spyder more popular!

We Are Our Own Worst Enemy I'm going to blow your mind :yikes::yikes::yikes: Well, maybe not, but let me pose a position! We are often our own worst enemy. We ask why the Spyder is not more popular... because we as owners are always comparing it to other things. Do Harley rides compare a...

    Trunk seal for ST-S?

Goes on the lip of the black part in your pic, not the lid itself.

    Trunk seal for ST-S?

Yes it is suppose to have one - call your dealer and have them get one for you under warranty. It's easy to install, they're not glued in.

Recommendations for a anti fog spray for helmets

On pinlock, it's a clear shield and then you can add tinted inserts right? Are there any gaps in the edges where bright light shines through? Also, is it hard to remove a tinted insert at night - any special storage or consideration? I've been interested in pinlock but haven't really...

    Road ID for our safety

I absolutely agree with using Roadid - it provides first responders with vital info about health and contacts. I wear mine when travelling. Wrist will be first check to obtain pulse so perfect location. Phones can be broken and ids are in your wallet somewhere. Big fan!!

Recommendations for a anti fog spray for helmets

I tried a technique I read about that sounds crazy but works fantastically! I used dish soap like dawn and placed a drop on the inside of the visor, rub it around with your finger and let it dry. Buff out with a soft towel until clear. This worked perfectly for me and lasted for over a week...

    need a lot of advice

Typically this is associated with your arms being too tight and pulling your shoulders back. It happens a lot to cyclists. Try relaxing your grip and putting a bend in your elbows. Try a few different angles but the solution may be your reaching for the handlebars too much and when you grab...

    need a lot of advice

What's you're height, weight, age and general health? Do you have a strong or weak core? Explain your riding position (angles) that causes irritation? Without knowing more about you specifically you're just shooting in the dark for advice that could prove expensive or more harmful.

    Oregon

Nice, thank you - I just mapped it... you're only 2 hrs away from the Oregon border. Eureka, CA is about 2000 miles from Dallas, so a bit longer than SpyderQuest, but no big deal in the grand scheme of things! And looks like a pretty cool route home from Portland! Now you've made it real...

    Need help find backrest

I second the SmoothSpyder Backrest... here's a pic I posted today about seats... the support arms you see rotate backwards and the backrest angles a bit differently and becomes the backrest for the passenger. You can even move the backrest pad up for more upper back support. At that point the...

Finally... My New Russell Day Long Seat

Yeah, the support arms you see rotate backwards and the backrest angles a bit differently and becomes the backrest for the passenger. You can even move the backrest pad up for more upper back support. At that point the driver has no backrest, except the chest of your passenger (preferably...

    Oregon

That is awesome... love that video! Now I want to go to Oregon... are there any events that I can use as an excuse to ride to that side of the country? If not, can someone organize an Oregon Spyder event for 2016... that will give me plenty of planning time! Thanks for posting!

Finally... My New Russell Day Long Seat

I just received and installed my Russell Day Long seat! It's been a long wait, but it's finally here!! I placed my order in December, shipped my seat off in early February and just now got it back! But it looks and feels awesome!! I've only put about 30 miles on it so far, but it's soooo...
