• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ride To Work Day

will do(weather permitting), but when is 'take off from work and ride your spyder day'? That is the holiday on my radar.

    Texas Spyder Riders

how about, you come up with a date range of when you think we should have the event and then from there we can keep this thread(or a new one going) to start working out details of whether it will just be a group ride or if we will have tents, sponsors, and things of that nature. I am not close...

    Traffic Light Question For Motorcycles

when I took the MSF course, my instructor brought up the question of "what do you do if the light won't change"? My response, "gun it and get on about your way". He laughed and said "you have tickets in your future". I have been pretty lucky with the traffic lights but I have had to make a right...

    still rolling

Hello all, I hope things are going well. I hit the 4,000 mile mark today so it won't be long before I will be at 5,000. Going to work today was crazy, first traffic was terrible. It was so bad that by the time I got to work my spyder showed no bars on the gas "meter". I had never seen that...

Good news about gas mileage - Patience is a virtue

    random thoughts

Hello all, I hope that today was the best Tuesday you have ever had. However, if it was the worst Tuesday, then the good news is that Wednesday will definitely be a better day...as I was driving into work today(took the truck since rain and possible thunderstorms were expected) I look in my...

That could have been me if it was a reddish/orange rs, however I did meet a guy about a month ago who had a new yellow st. I am on the Spyder as much as possible when rain is not expected. Hwy 80 is the closest highway to me.

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

If it is anything like your avatar then Key Largo is a place to visit with or without a Spyder(NICE!!!). The only catch is that the MOgang is in MO so there would probably have to be a new planning committee for Florida and that would be a can of worms no one wants to open.:yikes:

    Texas Spyder Riders

I think it would be great, especially for riders like me who have not reached the point of taking 7 to 10 hour trips to another state(hopefully next year though for Spyder fest). The only catch would be finding a good neutral spot and a GOOD planning committee that has some ideal of what it will...

    FloorBoards for RS

I am 6'4 and north of 275. I have the rivco floorboards on my RS and I love them. They look good and take so much pressure off of my legs. As a big guy I could only do 30 minutes with the pegs. Now with the floorboards I can go hours in the saddle. Rivco also has the highway peg set that may...

    ride from Richardson motorsports

We had a group ride from Richardson motorsports today( I really enjoyed the ride and meeting all of you). I think it was about 10 to 15 of us. I am trying to associate spyder lover handles with the folks that rode today. I know I am not the only one who is on SL...right? :dontknow:

    Bell Rogue

Hello all, I hope that your weekend is providing everything that you need to face the upcoming week... Has anyone tried on or purchased the Bell Rogue helmet? Yes, the look is what caught my attention and yes I know it is less protection than a full face helmet. My questions are what...

    Too hot to handle

I'm in Texas but it was 80 degrees today. The temp is fine with a short sleeve shirt under my motorcycle jacket without the winter lining but at a stop light it is bacon frying temperature. I may invest in one of those jackets that is thin mesh everywhere except where the protective material...

    Some good...some not so good

That was my main concern Bob, her safety... But a close second was "I haven't had the spyder a year, please don't wreck it"... I was thinking that the first time you try something can have a negative influence or positive on whether you will try it again. She was a little rattled but the...
