• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    This Honda trike

Good thought, but in 4 +/- a year or two, many riders will be looking to renew.... They may join the GW guys jumping to this new 3 wheel wonder from Honda. I would be interested to know the average age of the GW rider as that may be the [initial] intended market. If you look at the high...

Honda to present Neowing Tilting three wheeler at Tokyo Motor Show

The hybrid angle might not mean it is like a Prius hybrid (can drive on electric motors some of the time) but more like the Hybrid Accord a few years ago. I had one of those and it was not designed to be like the Prius or Camry. The electric motor gave the engine /drivetrain extra boost when...

Honda to present Neowing Tilting three wheeler at Tokyo Motor Show

+1 - just look at the size of the front brakes (caliper and discs)! Looks like it is a flat four cylinder - a 1200/1300 engine? Jerry

Honda to present Neowing Tilting three wheeler at Tokyo Motor Show

Maybe, but the majority of riders like to lean. This has been a good seller: http://www.cycleworld.com/2014/07/07/2015-piaggio-mp3-500-abs-first-ride-three-wheel-scooters-review-photos/ Smooth out the lines and make sure there is decent luggage capacity, and it will sell; many older GW riders...

    She's Built

+1 It looks very nice; only 1 question. why did you pick the dark outside color? I would have guessed a lighter color would make it cooler inside. That said, it will be nice to just pull over to catch a nap on a long trip! To keep the stress level down on the site, don't tell us you put...

    The Verdict--2016

Lamonster, all valid points except the last one - "I also think that everyone that was wanting a 1330 in the ST has no need now." In the US, we buy things that appeal to us and visual appeal is very important to many. For me, I didn't care for the [front stubby nose] styling of the F3, and...

    The Verdict--2016

All true, its just they made a BIG deal about the 2016 lineup in advance - like there was something BIG coming... 2014/2015 crushed what they unveiled for 2016... You know what happened to the little boy who cried wolf one too many times don't you.

    The Verdict--2016

The beloved ST is heading out the door...by 2017? Long live the RSS. The backside of the new F3 variants is not impressive. IF they thought sales were soft before... At least they largely left the RTS alone. Someone in marketing is going to take some lumps for a while. Jerry

Fellow Spyder Riders Help Me With Hip Pain While Riding Our New Spyder

I don't know if you have access to other Spyder riders, but if you can try a ST model (I have a 2013 STL), try it. It is not as wide in the body so your legs (knees) are a bit closer together. This translates to better comfort in the hips for me and I like it better than the 2012 RTS I had. Jerry

    Searching for 2016 Spy Shots...

I found the spy shots of the 2016 line up! Unbelievable, but here they are: The all new F1; smaller gas tank and still with no decent storage options The old mans restyled RTS - check out the cool fog lights out in front and the optional luggage package It still draws the crowd... wait...

In 2016, The Evolution Continues: Video contest

I think there is something to the order too: Front: F3 Middle: ST Rear: RTS If the RSS was in the mix where would it be? So, with this 3 line up, there are 2 x 1330 drivetrains and 1 x 998. Is that the excitement? Seems dropping the RSS isn't excitement... So, are all moving to the...

    STS heat question

This is what I did: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?82216-2013-ST-My-heat-solution It has handled most of the heat issues and wasn't very costly. The panels are about as hot as my Honda PC800 panels. I will get the new air scoop panels somewhere in the future as I added the...

    ST Riding Questions

My 2 cents 2012 RTS was my first Spyder, 2013 STL my second. I changed for several reasons (in no particular order): 1. I like the styling better (back end); the rear bags are removable and with a GIVI top case (not the oem offering), there is more storage potential 2. The bike is not as wide...
