• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Roller upgrade for Doc Humphries Vibration Damper

Did he actually drill out the ID of the bearings from 6mm to 10mm? I don't see how that is possible. The bearing should be hard and it is too much difference in size.

Are you actually hearing the exhaust popping? When the engine is cold, it's very possible that's what you hear. When the engine warms up, it goes away.:coffee:

    Seat Belts

I'm with Cruzr Joe, No. It doesn't matter if you are strapped in or not; this is an open vehicle and you are going to get hurt in an accident. The only benefit a seat belt would have is to help keep your wife from falling off when she goes to sleep

    Spyder group riding etiquette

It's not a matter of treating Spyders as second class citizens. Two wheelers in a staggered formation work well. If you put a trike (any trike) in the middle of that, it is disruptive. When we ride, all trikes go behind the two wheelers. The only exception is if the leader is on a trike...

I'm with Mike on this one for sure. My biggest concern is traction in the rain or hitting a wet patch in the road.

    Another PLUS for Bajaron

I just did a rear brake job on my friend's RT with Brembro brakes. Bajaron makes a handy tool for retracting the piston. It really makes the job a snap. It's just $15 and I highly recommend you order it when you order the pads.

    Broken bolt extraction

That idea PinkRosePetal had about fabricating a clamp and using the other bolt is a good one. The broken stud is very deep and you have limited space to work in. The filter cap doesn't require any lateral support. All it needs is to be held down so the "O" ring seals.
