• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Enclosed Trailer for two

This is a tough one based on your requirements. In my opinion, you have three basic things to think about with a trailer. 1) Quality, 2) Lightweight, 3) Inexpensive. You can typically pick only two of the above. You'll never get all three. I have a Featherlite (fthr.com), and really like it...

What's the best windshield to avoid buffetting?

It looks like his price went up. It's now $149 plus $47 for shipping.

    F1 Windshield Issue

I agree. No matter how great the customer service or the design, each and every windshield should fit perfectly.

Mirror Extensions; why not DIY from other materials?

I'm thinking a pair of CRG bar-end mirrors (or similar) would do the trick. The next project would be to repalce the stock mirrors with some sort of better looking turn indicator, something like the stuff Gregg's Customs makes for sport bikes.

Fender Tip Directional Kits Now Available

This is a great idea! Although I don't have my Spyder yet, based on what I've read here, it sounds like the stock mirrors are pretty useless without some sort of extension. I'd like to get rid of them alltogether and use a set of CRG bar-end mirrors instead. So I need some sort of turn indicator...

How to fit a Spyder to a guy that's 6'4"?

Has anyone tried the windshield from Mel's Monster Garage? It's supposed to be 3" taller than the BRP sport/touring shield. I'm not sure I like the look of the F1 or the F1 EVO. All I'd be looking for is the wind off my chest and a clean flow to my head/helmet....meaning no buffeting.

How to fit a Spyder to a guy that's 6'4"?

Thanks for all of the replies folks. Good information. Keep it coming. As for the lack of brake pedal and shift linkage adjustment, perhaps I could get a local machinist to make new pieces, along with a peg lowering kit. I guess I'll see how it fits first. It sounds like anything is possible...

How to fit a Spyder to a guy that's 6'4"?

I'm seriously interested in getting one of these, but I want to make sure I'll be comfortable and happy with it for years to come. From what I've read so far, the 1" bar riser and highway pegs are a good start. Is a taller windscreen really necessary? I ride some naked bikes, so I'm used to...
