• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BRP Customer Service

So in fairness to the actual humans at customer service... today they fixed the problem for me. My hunch is that corporate makes it difficult to get help, as bikerbillone says, hoping you'll give up... but today, at least, the people manning their customer service fixed my issue. Hopefully...

    BRP Customer Service

So last week, I tried to register online for a BRP promotion... having bought a new 2018 RTL and having downloaded a GPS program, by registering it I'm supposed to get a $120 CDN Mastercard in the mail. Promotion closes Dec 31 so I decided I better get it done. So.... 1. Website didn't work ...

Do we like modular helmets or not???

I wear a Scorpion modular and love it! Light weight for a full helmet, integrated drop down sun shield (as well as the clear) that is the perfect level of sun protection, great ear speaker pockets, comfortable with glasses.... and got it at half price late in the season so it didn't cost me more...

    New RT

I agree with Formerharleyrider ... this forum is full of lots of great tips! I also bought my first Spyder in Septemeber after years on a variety of 2 wheel bikes (Harley, Yamaha and Honda)... its a big adjustment but one that will happen quickly if you just get out and ryde!!

Adding a USB outlet - Phoenix riders

My dad sent me to University specifically because I was a hazard making any attempt at building or fixing ANYTHING with my hands... having the dealer install a couple usb outlets during servicing in the spring.

    New Guy

Welcome!! I made the transition in September of this year after years of riding a 2 wheeler. I was really eyeing the F3 but got such a great deal on a 2018 RT Limited that had about 600 miles on it that I had to go for it (dealer demo). You will get TONS of advice on here on what to do, and...

    BRP going electric?

Interesting. Would not work for me... when I ride (or drive) it is often 500-600 km or more in a day, and I highly doubt that the technology for the bike/ ryde will get me those kind of numbers anytime soon. Even for electric cars in the north country, the infrastucture is really just beginning...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

It's windy and raining here in the north part of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) but yesterday was 9C/48F and sunny so, I took the Green Goblin out for an end of season run!

    Planning to join Spyder Nation

JP58 ... It was an 09 Venture S... so comfortable on the highway but awkward and top heavy in parking lots... sucker weighed close to 1200 pounds once loaded with luggage and me!! Getting to an age where I am not as coordinated as I once was, had a couple minor mishaps that could have been FAR...

Long Solo Trips - What Did You Learn About Yourself?

Over the years most of my short trips have been solo, all of my long trips were in groups, anywhere from 2 to a dozen guys... my first long solo trip was when I drove my Spyder home from Thunder Bay Ontario home to just outside Toronto, about 1400km/ 900 miles. It was amazing!! I had to...

    Planning to join Spyder Nation

I came over from a Yamaha Venture in September to a 2018 RTL... you will love the Spyder once you get used to the leaning into curves and not choking your handlebars ... good luck, you'll love it!!

Bag for show chrome luggage rack

I have the Kuryakyn, because I bought it for the rack on my Dyna.... it fits pretty much all the racks on the market and is a reasonable price.

    Still ryding in New York?

Here in Ontario they put brine down on the roads before the first snow... it apparently helps to prevent ice forming. I don't have the Green Goblin down for the winter but I never completely do... always a day here and there where the roads are clear and I can freak the neighbours out in my...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Nothing today... tomorrow it goes to the dealer for the 3000mile service and to install a whole bunch of stuff I wanted to add... supposed to be 2C/36F and hopefully no snow as I have to cover about 20 miles each way, wearing my old snowmobile gear :)

    Why get a motorcycle?

I always wanted to ride, but when I was a kid my older brother had an accident on his bike (he eventually fully recovered) and it intimidated me.... the want was always there but it was not until I was turning 50 that I thought "If not now, when?" so I bought myself a brand new Honda Shadow and...

We are supposed to be in the deep freeze starting tomorrow, but warming up into positive numbers (+2C) by next Friday so today....
