• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    THis happens to me on my 2018RTL about 20% of the time... if I shut the bike off, diasconnect and reconnect the phone etc, it seems to work. Just typical glitchiness I think.

    I have a Motocentric one piece riding suit... much like a snowmobile suit. Bought it for winter riding when I still had my Harley. Actually find it TOO warm on the RTL unless air temp is below about 16F/-10C. Anything less than that and its just longjohns and sweatshirt under regular gear.

    I was lucky when I bought my 2018 RTL BRP had a promotion on where they rebated you $120 (via a prepaid VISA card) for buying and installing a GPS app that links to BRP Connect... so I actually turned a small profit after buying (and using once) Genius Maps.... Garmin for me!!

    I bought my 2018 RTL last fall in Thunder Bay Ontario (north shore of Lake Superior), and by the time I got it home (2 days and 1500km later) I hated BRP Connect and Genius Maps SO much.... the ride was my first ever on a Spyder and the directions and routing on the Genius Maps made NO sense...

    I have a 12v compressor out of my old Mercedes 230C that I scrapped a few years back (compressor is small and works well) along with plugs.... when we tour with friends we decide who is bringing what so we dont end up with 4 compressors and no plugs.
