• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Checking your Spyder's oil

Thanks guys. We're taking both Spyders in this week for the DPS replacement, so we'll address these issues with Ted our dealer. We're also picking up oil change kits for both RS & RT. Ted says we'll need a gallon of oil for each oil change, and 2 filters each. We're wondering if a...

    Checking your Spyder's oil

Okay, so how often do you check the oil on your Spyder? Have you ever checked it to find NO oil registering on the dipstick? While touring on the RT through Lassen last week, we had the 'check oil' light flash on and go out again instantly. :yikes: No codes displayed when we started it up...

    Wa loses another Dealer

We were told that Oregon is also losing the Spyder dealer in Eugene/Springfield. Thankfully Ted in Medford (Waterworld) is doing good. We stopped in at the dealer in Bend while passing through on vacation and they're doing great cos they carry a variety of bikes and have some $$$ behind them.

Waterproof shades for RT & RS

This past week during our vacation, we met up with a lot of bikers on the road. A number of them are using covers made by CycleShade.com and they look very convenient to pack and easy to use (not like the bulky BRP covers). I emailed CycleShade and they recommended for the RT the full cover...

our dealer told me this morning that BRP is shipping out new DPS units for 10% of the inventory he's sold. they are to be installed in the inventory stock first (sounds like a liability thing), then to the already sold models as they come back in. i think he said BRP has been installing the...

RT flashes a Check Transmission warning light

Update after trip to dealer BUDS found the following codes: P0127 - ECM P2806 - ECM U1201 - TCM Ted spoke to BRP tech and was advised to re-set gearbox position sensor and clear the codes. Said since the codes only flashed once, it was probably just a glitch. However, they also found the...

RT flashes a Check Transmission warning light

Do we have a great dealer or what? I emailed our dealer Ted around 9:00 last night when I posted this and here's his response by email at 10:30 last night: If you can bring it in, we will look at it on the spot. I will talk with BRP in the morning, to see what they think. I'll drive it over...

RT flashes a Check Transmission warning light

I was going down the freeway after passing a couple semitrucks doing about 75-80 mph :2thumbs: and was back running about 70-75 in the right lane, when I noticed a red idiot light come on. Before I could read it, it went off, but then the panel lit up orange with the 'check transmission'...
