• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cycle Gear Bilt Products - any good?

I appreciate your input and comparison. What you stated about zippers, fasteners, and many times the amount of stitching (or lack of it) and the material used for the actual stitching, can make a huge difference whether or not a product survives in a crash or get off scenario. Even the highest...

Cycle Gear Bilt Products - any good?

Just curious.....how many of those that have posted that "Bilt" products are good, have actually crash tested that claim and was still happy with the product after the crash? I'm talking about hitting the pavement type crashing!

Cycle Gear Bilt Products - any good?

I have always been one to stay away from lesser quality PPE when it comes to motorcycle riding gear.....and Bilt products are definitely lesser quality gear, in the scheme of things. Yes, many times they look just like the other brands, but there is a reason that the pricing is so much lower...

    First Ride Today....

LOL.....I get the feeling I'm going to be reaching for the front brake lever for a long time. That's a habit that will be hard to break......for the brake!

    First Ride Today....

Scoops huh.......bet I know what that is! Yea, body position was a huge factor when riding on the track, and I'm sure it will be a factor with the Spyder also. One of my buddys commented to me about getting a Spyder and said.....Bet it's gonna be hard to get a knee down with that. I told him...

    First Ride Today....

Well, I bought the 2019 RTL last weekend and got it home on a trailer (450 miles and through a snow blizzard for about 10 miles of that). So I got it out today and took a little spin....my first time ever really riding a Spyder. I gotta say....whoa....so much different than two wheels. I've...

    BajaRon on Facebook

I can personally vouch for the fast delivery from Bajaron. I ordered a couple of oil filters with the washer/o rings on Thursday morning. Friday it was in the mailbox. As fast as that got here, I'm thinking maybe he rode down to the house and dropped them in the mailbox personally!

Solutions for people with half helmets and wanting to listen to music

Sorry....I kind of veered off course with the discussion about riding gear. My apologies and hopefully you can get it figured out what you need to work for you.

Solutions for people with half helmets and wanting to listen to music

Trust me guys and gals, I've never been shy about the way I feel about ATGATT. Every person has a choice about what they wear when they ride, and for the last 30 years or so of riding, every single time I throw a leg over the seat, I am fully geared up. Full helmet, riding suit (full leathers...

Tie down (ratchet) over rear tire

Update.....so I picked up the new Spyder this past Friday and loaded it on my 6' x 10' utility trailer. I had a 450 mile drive home (Nashville, IL to Maryville, TN). I strapped the bike down using the same setup as pictured in post 3, only strapping the front tires. The one thing you need to...

Solutions for people with half helmets and wanting to listen to music

Since I have a full head, I wear a full coverage helmet....summer, fall, spring...no matter the season or the temperature. Sweat will dry in a matter of minutes, head/facial injuries are the gift that keeps on giving. I'm obviously an ATGATT kind of guy.

Batteries (again)- Yuasa vs. third party, gel?

I did unhook the rubber band that goes to the top retainer plate and remove the retainer plate. I tried to roll it forward, top first, but there is absolutely ZERO slack in the positive lead. So I guess with taking both leads off of the battery terminals would have allowed me to roll the...

Batteries (again)- Yuasa vs. third party, gel?

Kind of off topic, but maybe not.... So I was hooking up a Battery Tender pigtail this past weekend and was going to pull the battery part of the way out to be able to unscrew the battery lead terminals and add the pigtail, and I couldn't figure out how to get the battery out of the little...

Rolo Laser Alignment is Coming to Greeneville, TN!

Hmm, if I need a ROLO laser alignment, I'm right in the middle (Maryville, TN) between Greenville and Chattanooga. Would there be any preference for one over the other? Since the ROLO is going to be a "new" service, whereas White's down in Chattanooga has been in business with the ROLO for...

2020 RTL: Does “Eco” mode actually work

I've owned almost 30 different motorcycles over my life and I can honestly say, I have NEVER bought one with concerns about mileage.......MPG! I ride motorcycles for Fun, not to see what kind of gas mileage I can squeeze out of it........so to each their own! I feel the same way about my Ford...

Thinking of buying a Spyder RT

To me, that major difference between the RT and the F3 models is the riding position. The F3 is more like riding a cruiser bike.....bars that come back closer to you but footpegs that have your legs and feet out in front of your butt. The RT is more like riding a standard bike...leaning a bit...

Tie down (ratchet) over rear tire

As an additional bit of info for the strap system I am going to use, like what is pictured in post #3...I bought 4' sections of e track. The amount of e track that is in front of the front wheel will be about 4 or 5 inches. There will be plenty of room behind the front wheel to attach the...

Tie down (ratchet) over rear tire

This is what I just bought and will use when the Spyder goes in the Toy Hauler or an my flat bed trailer. Obviously, these are made for anchoring to E Track, which is what I use. The end of the strap anchors into the e track, then goes over the top of the tire and down to the other side of the...
