• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RAM ball mount custom Install 2020 RT

Well, back to the drawing board for me. I received the Ram ball and the Ram self levelling cup holder today and there just isn't enough room to use it with out it either ...1. mounting it where it won't hit anything, but it blocks about 1/2 of the left side mirror....or 2. Mounting it where...

    Battery Question

A FLA or gel battery should never read 13.4V....unless it's hooked up to a charger and being charged at the time. 13.4 is the approx. output of the alternator to charge the battery. After the charger is removed and 15-20 minutes have passed, a fully charged battery should be 12.7 to 12.8...

That is exactly what we've been doing....three rides in four days!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

If you ride even a little faster than a snail's pace, you will notice a huge improvement in the handling and cornering with the sway bar. It is night and day different, and the harder you push it, the better it performs. Win - Win!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I guess it varies from state to state, but there is absolutely nothing against any Executive order about going riding in TN. In fact, they are encouraging people to get out and walk, exercise, etc, but keep your 6' distance from each other. Every time we ride, we pack a cooler with some...

    Exhaust

My above comment was from a T-Shirt I had at one time. It was fun to wear to the Gap when all the Harley guys were around and reving the crap out of their bikes....then riding like 8 MPH through the turns

RAM ball mount custom Install 2020 RT

I just ordered the Ram Ball with the 1/4-20 threads that are 1/2" long, plus the Ram drink holder that is the one that stays level. My plan is to drill and tap for 1/4-20 and then, if there is room inside the handlebar area, put on a thin profile nylock nut.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I spent a good chunk of time looking for and finally finding the Accessory wiring in the front of my '19 RTL. I finally discovered it after taking the battery out and it was right behind the rubber plug in the left side of the frunk. After finding it, I ran the power cable that came with my...

RAM ball mount custom Install 2020 RT

Hmm....I wonder if the 2019 RTL is different than the 2017? When I was working on mine today, the top part of the bar is all metal, and the plastic cover is on the bottom and is held on with 4 screws. The top part does look like cast or pot metal, but it looks like it might be thick enough to...

    A Little Social Distancing Today.....

We took advantage of another beautiful day here in E. TN today...mostly sunny and around 80 degrees. This coming week is going to bring some rain, so take advantage of the nice weather while we can.

just out of curiousity would you go to a event

It may or may not help you in your decision, but I am also into camping and had plans to attend a Rally during the first week of May, 5 days after I retire on April 30th. The reservations were made back in Nov, 2019 and I did in fact cancel them about two weeks ago. The camping trip, in and of...

    Sunoco Optima Fuel

Using a higher octane gasoline than what the manufacturer recommends is a solid waste of money....and actually decreases performance from the engine. The higher octane requires a higher compression ratio to fully ignite the fuel in the combustion chamber.....and as far as I know, the...

Tickets for ryding in Maryland and other places??

The state of TN has an Order that is almost identical to that one. Just use some common sense and don't congregate and use the proper precautions to avoid contact with others.

Tickets for ryding in Maryland and other places??

I'm always headed to the grocery store to pick up a few items........No where does it say that you have to go to the closest one! :2thumbs: Seriously though, riding will most likely involve a lot less social contact than being in a grocery store!

    A Little Social Distancing Today.....

So we figured that in an effort to do our part in the Social Distancing thing, we would take a little ride today, just Peggy and I. We stayed away from the crowds at the grocery store, the gas stations, etc, etc. Since one of the most beautiful places to ride in E. TN is the Foothills Parkway...

    A Busy Day Yesterday...

We've been working towards this goal for the past several years, and I am less than 30 days away from my official retirement. Unfortunately, we probably won't be going anywhere for at least a few months until the Covid-19 thing is under control.....
