• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

I'm just curious why you guys are considering adding a winch (wench)? If you can achieve the angle that you need for clearance, why not just drive it up and be done with it?

OK.....I stand corrected........YOU might be the only one on here that understood the "inside Joke". Kudos.......I'm not alone!

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

Yea, the snapping turtle thing is kind of an inside joke, that no one here would understand. Our local ad paper where I live had a guy on there for years that would always offer up a snapping turtle for trade when someone posted an ad for something that they had for sale.....and the words in...

    Zumo XT Installation

I have made several attempt on trying to learn Basecamp and finally just gave up. I still have Mapsource (Basecamp predecessor) on my computer and to me, it's much easier to use for making a route. Just make sure when you save the route, save it in GPX format for a file extension. Then load...

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

I think John probably explained the process and reasoning a bit better than I did, so Kudos John. And you're right Mike, I should have never bought either one of them....The T.H. or the Spyder, so I'm putting them both up for sale. Since you were the one to point out that stark fact, I'm...

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

I did pretty much understand what you were saying....but....I still need support in the middle of the T.H. ramp gate. One plastic ramp on each side with no support in the middle of the T.H. ramp gate is asking for trouble....as in warping the ramp. It probably wouldn't happen right away, but...

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

You could have done that. The whole idea of forums is to learn and to share what you've personally learned. If it helps someone else out, I'm perfectly OK with that!....in fact, I'm happy to be able to help someone out with an idea that I have had and actually works! Lord knows I've had a lot...

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

Thanks for the kudos....It seems like just about every single project I start, after a brain? storming session, I end up having to make a part or make something out of a piece of ???? that was never intended to be used for that application. My bicycle racks in the Momentum are a classic...

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

For a guy that is self admittedly not good with tools, you might want to reconsider this approach (approach.....pun intended), cause there are going to be a lot of things to put back together! :helpsmilie:

Looking for some advice on how to load an RT into a Newmar Canyon Star Toy Hauler

I have a Grand Design 394M Toy Hauler and I wanted to be able to load the RTL without having to unhook the trailer from the truck in order to load or unload. This may be a bit more work than you want to do, but this is how I do mine. I have two low profile plastic ramps (10,000 lbs rated for...

    Gave up on BRP connect

I gave up on mine too....it's too convuluted and the dash screen is too small. I now have a Garmin XT center-mounted using the LAMonster mount. I don't normally listen to music while riding anyway, so the XT is linked up to the Sena 20's that we have for intercom and the XT provides voice...

Need advice - is it worth going to 2 wheels first, or is 3 OK?

I started riding motorcycle in 1971 and spent the last 20 years riding sport bikes. My wife and I even worked for a Motorcycle track day organization, teaching/coaching/Instructing folks how to ride sport bikes on racetracks....think Road Atlanta, Barber Motorsports Park, CMP, etc. We both...

Lazer wheel alignment for Spyder RT

Yes, he's in Greenville, TN. As far as him doing sway bar installs, I don't think he does them, but you could check with him to make sure.

Lazer wheel alignment for Spyder RT

If I'm not mistaken, White's Cycle and Marine in Chattanooga does them. Also, there is a dealer (don't know the name for sure, but might be Mountain Motorsports) in Greenville, TN....which is Bajaron's location. Chattanooga would certainly be closer for you if you are in Mt. Juliet.

    Educated Answers needed

We have a 2019 RTL and ride two up almost every time the bike leaves the garage. I installed the sway bar not long after I got the Spyder at the end of February. My first couple of rides without my wife, while making several engine breakin runs, I knew right away that the sway bar was a must...

    Wearing glasses with helmet

My wife and I both wear glasses and one of the things we both do is to put on a very thin Schampa brand Coolskin skull cap first.....with the glasses already on. Our helmets are the HJC RPHA-90 modular helmets. As I'm putting mine on, I grab the strap and the buckle and spread the helmet a bit...

    Peacekeeper6 Mod Thread

I too bought and installed a Bajaron sway bar. Since I was a new Spyder owner, I knew that I would need a lift for that job, as well as other future work on the RTL. After watching Pierre's video on the install and seeing the lift that he used and recommended, I purchased the PitBull lift that...

    Trailering Front Attach

Not mine pictured, but I use the exact same thing......e track for both front wheels, heavy duty ratchet straps that connect directly to the e track, roller on the back side of the tire, ratchet device to pull the strap down. When done correctly, the strapping over the tire is in the shape of...

    Highway Stability

A big part of "needing or not needing" a sway bar mod is dependant on how hard you ride or push the Spyder. Very casual riding, you can probably do just fine without it.....unless maybe you have quite a bit or rider and passenger weight. The harder you push the Spyder, the more it is going to...
