• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After 30K miles... still have my original front tires...

I replaced my front tires at 21,000 (+ or - a few) miles. My dealer told me that typically, I would get about the twice the mileage on my fronts as my rear tire. And, that's what I have seen so far.

.... longer life.... How many miles do you suppose the Rotax 998cc on the Spyder is good for? 100,000? more? less?

Thank you, Everyone! :clap:And, you're welcome! It was time to get a report out there. :D Also; right before my warranty was up, I did purchase the B.E.S.T. warranty. .......... but, I'm having 'no' luck getting another Can-Am Hindle Badge for my exhaust.

My 31,500 mile Spyder owner's report..

I took delivery of my Full Moon Spyder SM5 on Sept. 27, 2008. I just recently turned over 31,500 miles. Nothing crazy maintenance has been required since ownership. I am blessed to have a great dealer; FRS Powersports in Memphis. They have always done 'all' of my work - including oil changes...

My Hindle badge finally fell off my Hindle. Other victims able to get a replacement?

Besides the rivets on the heat guards being loose, no other issues. I love the Hindle. Plus; I got mine for around $400, if I remember correctly. And, when I was having the latest rear tire installed (rear tire #4 at 31,100 miles), I had my shop re-rivet the heat guards. But, yeah; it sucks...

    Yep, New DPS is Different!!

I have ridden about 200 miles since the DPS recall. Feels the same as before for me. But, the steering was never an issue before, either. So... not sure what I'm missing.

My Hindle badge finally fell off my Hindle. Other victims able to get a replacement?

After all this time, it finally happened. And, I had read about other owners that lost their Hindle badge, as well. Of course, a mark is left where it was glued. and, it appears where one edge was it rubbed a fine line through that black finish. It's not that noticeable, really. And, it...

25,000 miles in just under 21 months! Not a Record! But, still WOW!!!

Thanks! Great looking Spyder, by the way! :2thumbs: Oh! And, regarding 'Spyders in the Smokies'; it looks more like we will be heading that direction to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. But, not sure of the date.

25,000 miles in just under 21 months! Not a Record! But, still WOW!!!

All in All, I have indeed been a very happy Spyder owner. I just wanted to mention that again. At 21,000+ miles, I replaced my front tires for the first time. And, had the dealer also install the 2nd replacement rear tire. So, each rear lasted me about 10,400 miles. Each way to work for me is...

25,000 miles in just under 21 months! Not a Record! But, still WOW!!!

Thanks everyone! :2thumbs: If it hadn't been for the wicked winter we had, I would have been over 25,000 a couple of months ago! Lol! I hope everyone has been doing well. I know, I haven't been around in quite some time. Linda, a girl I work with, recently took delivery of a 2010 RT-S in...

Everyday, it's still like the first! Only, better! I passed the 25,000 mile mark yesterday on the way home from the office. The 21 month anniversary date is 6/27/10.

Rear tire wear indicators are hit all the across on my back tire..

Well; you know what? I see what you are saying. And, on the side of the rear tire, there are little arrows that point to the actual tread wear indicators. I do have some more life in my rear tire, afterall. Thanks for pointing that out.

Rear tire wear indicators are hit all the across on my back tire..
