• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Guilty of Emotions

Getting emotional about emoticons, you will find that there are "greeters" on many of the fora out there! Even if their contribution is just a welcome message it keeps that particular forum in the public eye ie page counts with Google and friends. Or in other words keeping it at the top of the...

    iPad 2 question

If you want to repair it yourself check out iFixit. You can get the parts on eBay too and the tools. It sounds like something is loose or a connector needs to be pressed home if it works occasionally. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Site isn't as easy to navigate as the S.A.E. Site, plenty of reading for .. years.. Sent from my iPad using...

    Heim Joint Replacment?

BajaRon, Are there different sized links? Are some longer than others, and can they be used to raise the machine higher? I read a post earlier today but didn't find anything to explain the purpose!

    Went to Mobile 1

Many modern auto oils have molybdenum added and with motorcycle engines having a wet clutch, moly coats everything with a slippery concoction. As the oil is shared between the engine and the clutch, the clutch becomes infected by it and slips accordingly. In that case you have to strip it down...

A question for riders in Canada

I'm just curious, ryder's south of the border tend to travel at hyper speeds 😉 just kidding of course, but our speeds north of 49th parallel are conservative in comparison! Now my question is can these be driven around town at between 40 to 60 kph or are they only a highway tool?

If I ever wreak this is how I want it to be....

35 years ago I hit a Triumph Stag head on at about 60mph, diesel oil spill on the road, hit the hood slid up the windshield, flew over the roof and landed on my feet about forty feet behind the car in a skiing stance. I burst the gas tank, the headstock/forks were bent 90* to the frame and I...

How well do the Spyders take to paint?

I am considering a 2008 Spyder RS dressed in black and silver with some useful goodies but the original plastic might look better in red and black! How well does the plastic accept paint? Any preferred flavours, water based Krylon perhaps?

    BRP's Trained Dealership Technicians

I used to be a motorcycle mechanic in the '70's and 80's and 90's but got out of it as the electronic equipment was getting prohibitive. When you have a small shop, you need to have a quick turn around. As a small shop owner you tend to be able to service almost anything. It can be refreshing...
