• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Answering the OP's question, I see nothing in BUDS (earlier Spyders) to block or alter downshift points. I can't say about BUDS2 (later model years) but I'm willing to bet money.

    Fuel pumps have also been an issue for many Ryker owners. I too had to replace the fuel pump twice. Once I was able to restart several times and get home, once I was stranded and had to get a tow.

    More likely the tire is constructed differently from a car tire. Like trailer tires that say "Trailer use only" on them - there's no restraint of trade in that case.

    BTW I have a 2014 service manual and don't see anything in it about resetting TCM learning. The manual describes only troubleshooting and test steps using BUDS. I have used BUDS but not for the TCM.

    Will the Ryker drive train clunk reduce after break-in is complete?

    The clunk is due to backlash in the gearbox (gears and chains) and the final drive (ring and pinion gears). With the Ryker in F, pushing backwards a foot or two will take backlash out of the drive system and eliminate the clunk. This video at 0:13 illustrates backlash:

    With multiple faults like that I would check the battery and battery connections first. BUDS requires an adapter and a software license and is a bit pricey.
