• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the outer width of a 2014 GT limited spyder? To fit in enclosed trailer

I'm with BLUEKNIGHT911 on this one, especially his original comment - "why not a 10' V-nose?" Given that you intend to pull your trailer (of whatever size/shape) with a RAM pick-up, I'd first of all be putting any extra desired cargo/necessities in the bed of the pick-up, not in the trailer...

Lend a Spyder or rent a Spyder

If you check out the Turo site, this is currently only available in 3 states in the US - California (6 places), Nevada (2 places) and South Carolina (one site). It would be a bit more helpful or accurate if the guy in S. Carolina knew the difference between the RTL and the F3L - the photos of...

    F3L Seat

Ditto; my lady is 5' 6", weighs about 138# and has plenty of room in the stock F3L seat (no extender). She really liked the stock F3L passenger seat because, relative to me, she sat higher and looked over my head. She preferred the F3L over the RTL. My hips couldn't tolerate sitting on an RT...

    2015 rt limited gas milage

2017 F3L here, mostly ridden 2-up (about 70% of time) on secondary highways in Ontario (summer) and Florida (winter) cruising at 55 mph (90 km/h). That's average speed; we do go faster at times, also slower as we 'play tourist'. Same 1330 engine. Always filled with premium fuel, 91-93 octane...

    Newbie Questions

I'm going to differ somewhat, possibly offer another perspective. Simply my personal view, although I do respect those who say "let the machine do the work (or gear selection) automatically". My Spyder is a 2017 F3L SE, so same Rotax 1330 engine and tranny for the most part. My bike typically...

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

2017 F3L here (1330 engine, SE6), ridden mostly 2-up (80% of time), probably averaging around 55-60 mph (90-100 km/h) on secondary highways. We like to do day trips on back country roads at reasonably enjoyable speeds (not slow, but not racing). Our rydes take place in Ontario in summer, FL in...

    Hardlurch to left when braking.

Wozerd, I was lucky. Had 2 weeks left on my full BRP warranty, so malfunctioning caliper and new brake pads were replaced free of charge. However, had I to pay, I was told the calipers would have cost about $465 CAN, or roughly $350 US, inclusive of all taxes (13%), federal and provincial...

    Hardlurch to left when braking.

FWIW, there have been two recent posts describing similar issues with F3L or F3T Spyders, each of which has been suffering from hard pull to one side or the other under heavy braking; see: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?121588-F3-front-brake-issue-pulling-sharply-to-one-side...

F3 front brake issue - pulling sharply to one side.

Happy news up-date!!! PROBLEM SOLVED; Spyder is fixed and rolling again like new. As mentioned above, I had a serious problem of Spyder pulling sharply to right under heavy braking. Severe enough to put me on shoulder of road instead of stopping in a safe, straight line while still on pavement...

    18 f3t front brake balance

PROBLEM SOLVED in my case; Spyder is fixed and rolling again like new. As mentioned just above, I had posted notice of a similar serious problem of Spyder pulling sharply to right under heavy braking in another thread several days ago. Severe enough to put me on shoulder of road instead of...

    18 f3t front brake balance

Hi k8sdad: I just posted on this very issue 5 days ago; see: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?121588-F3-front-brake-issue-pulling-sharply-to-one-side My 2017 F3L is in the shop right now undergoing repairs. After looking things over, including a test ride, my dealer believes...

Seeking Advice From Spyder Ryding Snowbirds

Rich, Don and others who have been following this thread: Please don't misunderstand the intent of my comments above. I am not suggesting that Florida is the best or only place for winter riding to help a snowbird avoid the winter blahs. I'm only trying to make the point that FL is not...

Seeking Advice From Spyder Ryding Snowbirds

Well, Bert, before you totally make up your mind about the (so-called) "dull/uninteresting FL roads" without even trying them out, here's what I suggest you do: come down to the "interior lakes area" of FL, anywhere between Ocala and Orlando; rent a place for a week or two, and go out and ride...

    Can_Am trailer hitch

Had Pierre install one of his hitches and harness on my F3L at Spyder Odyssey last fall. Great product, quick install and no problems. I think you'll be happy with your result. Good luck.

Seeking Advice From Spyder Ryding Snowbirds

Hi Bert: I see that my friend Al (new adventure; post 5 above) has chimed in to recommend Central Florida, specifically the Mt Dora area. We have a winter place not far away, in Leesburg, FL. We have hauled our F3L down for the past 2 winters, and really loved every minute of it. In fact, I...

F3 front brake issue - pulling sharply to one side.

I believe the guys at H B have looked at the rotors as well as the pads, but opted to proceed with replacement of the calipers. Not an inexpensive repair, but I'm under warranty, so am letting them use their best judgement. We'll know soon enough. Thanks.

F3 front brake issue - pulling sharply to one side.

I believe mine has Brembo brakes, Peter; at least I recall that's how it was advertised/described when purchased.

F3 front brake issue - pulling sharply to one side.

Thought perhaps I should post this as a 'heads-up' for others. I have about 18,000 km (12,000 mi) on my 2017 F3L. A couple of months back, while winter riding in FL, I did a 'hard' stop one morning, and noticed a fairly severe pull to the right - the Spyder dipped sharply and ducked to the...

    Spyder Idiosyncrasies.

A lot of great input here from experts (Peter, Mike, et al), who can coach you best from the technical perspective. My input would be: relax, have faith in your Spyder; if you use good sense, it is unlikely to cause you harm. Perhaps because I didn't do a whole lot of 2-wheeling in the 40 years...
