• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No bright headlights, dims work fine - any ideas?

Very good analysis of the problem, by someone who appears to have a bit of training in such things!!

Any thoughts about running Car Tires On The Rear?

I run 18-19 with General Altimax on the rear and 16-16.5 in the Vredesteins on the front.

Are you happy with your aftermarket CAR tires?

My friend keeps putting Kenda tires on his two 2018s, rears every 10K. Go figure!!!

Anyone in Northern Texas area installing Car Tires on Spyders?

I am going to do my third rear for my in-law this fall, and correct the miss alignment of the valve stem when a new rear was installed on his NTH 2014 RT in 2018. It will get a General Altimax RT45. I have a torque wrench that goes to 250 lbs, and both 35mm socket and end wrench. And we will be...

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

You talk about touring, therefore stick with a RTL. The Canyon solves a problem that does not exist, except maybe a larger Ryker.

Annoyingly, my '21 RTL will only cancel Cruise by touching the brake pedal or downshifting - are there any other ways?

This whole windshield up & down on the 2020+ models thing, along with the brake pedal position, has me wanting to stay with my 2018. I took my trike course on a brand new 2020 back in the Fall of 2020, so I do have experience with the brake pedal. I have some money I want to spend, just have not...

Towing - To cover, or not to cover?

I did not use chocks for the rear tire because of the backing over things issue. I used a milled Nylon cutting board to create a wider area for the rear tire to sit on. You can actually see the black rubber on the e-track where I tried to back out of wheel chocks behind the front tires. This was...

Towing - To cover, or not to cover?

Mine rides on a Primo trailer also. Hooker was trailered from Az to Wa and back twice and now Hookie is going to take that role now that Hooker was sold. Never covered. Here's a couple of things I learned along the way. The Spyder does not like to back over the Erickson wheel chocks behind...

Sway Bar - Help me decide: BajaRon Regular or Ultimate Sway Bar?

I like the regular bar, less moving parts! I have installed two for myself and several for friends.

    Spyder Sightings

Hooker's new home in Kennewick Wa.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Sold Hooker the Champagne Spyder to a friend. Will bring Hookie back and forth between Az and Wa.

What does this Tight spot in wheel rotation by hand mean? Any ideas or thoughts?

Pull the caliper and then turn the hub to check the bearings. And check for run out in the rotor. Maybe the rotor is not correctly seated on the hub?

My first impressions of the 2023 Spyder RTL

175/55R15's. Some complain about clearance issues on 2020+ machines.

My first impressions of the 2023 Spyder RTL

I tell people you do not steer the Spyder out on the open road, you just guide it. With light pressure on the opposite handlebar to correct its direction. Put it on cruise control and rest your hands on the handlebars. And if a German Shepherd comes out of the brush right in front of you grab...
