• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    215/60/15 doesn't rub on RT?

I have the General AltiMAX RT43 - 215/60R15 and it has plenty of clearance under the fender. Deanna and a few other people have it as well, and will tell you the same thing. Pam

    Test ride...

I demoed the tri-glide while I was in transition from two wheels to three. I really didn't care for the way it handled, and the price was ridiculous for what you get. The Spyder RT, by comparison, handles like a dream, and much less expensive. You can't go wrong with the Spyder. Pam

    Front Brakes

I changed all three sets at 21,000 miles. The fronts were toast (I changed them just in time). The rear pads still had some life in them. I don't know if it makes any difference, but the majority of my riding is in city traffic. Pam

    I need brake pads

At the time I replaced the pads, I had just passed one year since purchasing the Spyder, so I expect the need to flush the brake fluid next June. I'll probably be ready for another set of pads by then. Thanks for the heads up! Pam

Rear Tire - What is the Best Option

Lots of different viewpoints, and lots of different recommendations on tires. Not everyone agrees on which replacement tire is best, but at least we all agree on one thing; that almost anything is better than the OEM brand tire. Pam

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

I have one and use it quite often, including for changing the oil. For oil changes, I lift it up a foot or so, then set the Spyder on jack stands and remove the lift. Getting the Spyder off the ground gives me more room to work when removing the drain plugs. Pam

    I need brake pads

Hi Rick, The fronts were fairly easy to do, but the rear caliper bolts were a b*tch to get loose. The assemblers at the BRP factory must love to drench the bolts in industrial strength threadlocker. Even with an impact wrench, they were difficult to get loose. The front caliper bolts were...

    torgue

I've never used a torque wrench on oil plugs. Like Bill said, just tighten them until they're tight, then give them one more gentle nudge. That's all I've ever done on any of my bikes or the Spyder and never had a problem. Pam

    rt problems or in general

In her most recent post, Ann stated that she was on her way home from a trip. She's good about getting back to people, so rest assured, she'll confirm her positive experience with her Spyder. Pam
