• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

I bought my HF lift several years ago for $25.00 brand new in the box from someone who changed his mind about doing his own work. It may not be the best lift in the world, but it's good enough to have lifted my Goldwing, and then my Victory Vision, and now my Spyder. Yes, there are many better...

does anyone have a good one?

I have a 2015 RT that I've had for a little over a year and have ridden 22,000 trouble free miles. You see a lot of posts here about people who are enjoying their Spyders. Sorry you are having problems, but once they get ironed out, you will be able to enjoy your Spyder. Pam

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

I've used this "cheap, lightweight" lift on my last two motorcycles, each worth well over $20k, and now my Spyder for which I paid $26k, and it has worked just fine. Yeah, you can spend more money if you want, but this one does the job for less. The use of jack stands goes without saying. Pam

    T-boned yesterday.

I hate to hear of such things, but I'm glad you are ok. I hope the cage driver was cited. Pam

    It's Hot And Getting Hotter

Yeah, it's the price we pay for year round riding. At least it's only a couple of really hot months, the rest of the year is awesome.:riding: Pam

    It's Hot And Getting Hotter

It's been in the 110 + range here in Phoenix for the past couple of weeks, but at least not the humidity like you have. I'm looking forward to the end of summer so we can ride in comfort again. Pam

What would you pay for almost new rotors?

Throw it in with the sale, along with a sidenote to the new owner advising them to avoid that shop that told you they were warped after only 2,000 miles.:yikes: Pam

My First service will be last Spyder service done by dealer - getting out!

For future reference, this video does a fine job of walking you through tupperware removal. Assuming you have a 2014 or later, there's also this great oil change video by Shawn Smoak. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPeb1YqV4Gw&feature=youtu.be Pam

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

You might want to check with Finless Bob. He has a 2011 (with the 14 inch rims) and says he uses this lift all the time. Maybe he can tell you how he gets it under there. Pam

Rear Tire - What is the Best Option

I'm getting good performance from my General Altimax RT43, and I ride very aggressively. I've even ridden in the rain and taken some snappy turns without losing any grip. Pam

why such big difference on tire life

I can honestly say that my motorcycle tires have always outlived their life expectancy due to two factors: (1) I'm religious about maintaining proper air pressure. (2) Dynamic balancing with Ride-On (Balance beads have the same effect). No weights allowed on my wheels. Pam

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

I dunno, maybe the 2010 RT is lower than the 2015 :dontknow: Pam

    Harbor Freight Cycle Lift

Sometimes the lift doesn't go down all the way. If you stand on the forks and press the release pedal with a broom handle it will go down a bit more and you should be able to get under the Spyder. Also do what IdahoMtnSpyder suggested. Pam

    DirecTV vs Dish

Personally, I prefer the 1330 over the 998, and much prefer the 6 speed over the 5 speed..... Pam

    DESS Error Code STRIKES

I've never had one either, in nearly 22,000 miles, so maybe I'm out of the woods? Curious, how to you intentionally create a DESS error? Pam

    215/60/15 doesn't rub on RT?

That's discouraging...... I was hoping to get a lot more than that out this tire. Pam

Hyperflash is something that can happen when there is a loose connection or a lamp failure. If you've already checked those things, try the steps in this video, compliments of Lamont. Thanks Finless Bob for recently turning me on to this video...
