• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Parking

There aren't many places here with motorcycle only spots either. I go to the Phoenix VA a couple times a month and parking there is very scarce. Fortunately, there are a passel of motorcycle only spots. They even striped them wide enough for trikes :) Pam

    Acknowledging Other Riders

I knew that was coming, the ancient, stale joke that Denman posts anytime there is a conversation about waving :banghead:

    Acknowledging Other Riders

I've always waved with the inverted two finger (Index and middle) sign for "two". Now that I am on three wheels, I have switched to the inverted ASL sign for "three" (thumb, index finger, and middle finger). Having a deaf spouse, I tend to use ASL frequently. Pam

Sitting on a Spyder without asking? Anyone have this problem?

I know Joe, and can say that I'm quite certain he was simply being sarcastic. You points are all well put! Pam

    Tired of getting wet

Simple solution: A passenger :roflblack: :shemademe_smilie: Pam P.S. My RT does the same thing and I would love find a solution.

    Parking

Here in Arizona, they go by vehicle value. I don't know what source they use for their values. I just renewed the tag on my 2015 RT and paid $460.51 for the year. My 2016 Toyota was $566.75 for a year. It doesn't seem to matter how many wheels you have on your vehicle, it's all about the...

    Parking

Agreed that we have paid for the right to park in any spot we want, but when there are very few (car) parking spots available, but quite a few motorcycle spots, the considerate thing is to take the motorcycle spot. Pam

    Parking

I park in motorcycle slots, along with the other trikes and motorcycles. When parking at a curb, I back in on an angle just like I did on my motorcycle. This leaves room in the parking space for another motorcycle or trike. Just common courtesy. Pam

    2015 F3S Brake pads

The pads are the same across all models (Brembo brake system), but I would be very shocked if you need pads with only 2,700 miles on your Spyder. When you do need to change the pads, BajaRon sells a much better pad than the factory ones. Pam

    Would You Go Back?

If my body would go back to what it was 20 years ago, I'd go back to two wheels in a heartbeat. Pam

    Fàrkle manufacturers list

If you hang out here for awhile you will start to see conversations about the various mods that people have added to their Spyders. Feel free to ask questions also, as you will get answers that will lead you in the right direction as to what you may want to add. Also, many of us a list of mods...

New spyder, new to spyder's....got questions

:congrats: I can answer a couple of the questions, but will leave the rest for others to answer. What most motorcycle forums call "Mods" (short for modifications), here in SpyderLovers they refer to them as Farkles. Therefore, a farkle is anything that you add to your Spyder after it leaves...

    Need help

I've had these for a year now and they work great. The heated grips heat them up just fine too. Very comfortable and durable. Easy to install, put a little liquid soap on the grips and they slide on like a condom...

    Face shield question

I have a drop down sunshield on my helmet. I mostly just rely on my sunglasses though. The only time I wish I had a full face shield is when I ride in the rain. At speed, those rain drops feel like nails hitting my face. :yikes: Pam
