• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Steering Assist

OK, let me preface this by saying I have no problems with my dealer and have had no issues with them. I have a 2010 RT. I started noticing about a month ago that it would at times become very difficult to turn at low speeds like the steering assist was not working. I also noticed this only seem...

    Analog gas gauge???

I disconnected the gas and temp Gage's and find the digital Gage's to be much more accurate. I replaced the Gage's with ram mounts for my iPhone and GPS. Win, win in my pinion.

Any mod required for internal fan cowl (Spyderpops HM install)

I fabricated my lower opening heat blocker from some metal flashing I got at Lowes. I have over 3,000 miles with both openings blocked with no issues. As I stated I have the lower Y panel removed. They only time I ever have an issue is when I am stuck in traffic I feel the heat coming up from...

    Digital Gas Gaga

So I have had my analog Gage's disconnected for about a year with no issues with the digital Gage's. I took it in for the 9,000 service today. They said they changed the oil and applied the throttle body update. On the way home I notice the gas warning light is on and the gage shows empty. I...

Any mod required for internal fan cowl (Spyderpops HM install)

I installed the SpyderPops heat blocker and it did cause the hot air o exit the lower opening. Because I have the Kewl Metal highway pegs installed it redirected the heat directly on my right foot. I ended up fabricating a heat block for the lower opening as well. I removed the Y panel per the...

    My Relaxed Pegs

Agree with adding he ISCI hand brake. Best mod yet. Did it because I found my foot was to far from the bake when using the highway pegs. It takes some getting used to but now I rarely use the foot brake.

    My Handbrake Story

Did the same thing with my ISCI handbrake about 2 weeks ago. A car jumped out into the left lane and stopped in front of me. I slammed the footbrake and grabed the handbrake as hard as I could. I stopped so fast the SE5 could'nt keep up. When I got stopped it was stil in 3rd gear. I had to...

Beauty & the Beast (Burgman 650 vs. Can-am Spyder RTS/SE5

I agree. I preferred the full auto on the Burgy. Tried the electronic shift once but like the full auto bettor. It did shift much smoother. I have discovered the secret (al least for me) is to let the Spyder rev before shifting. When I first got it I would shift to low, around 3500 RPM's. I...

Beauty & the Beast (Burgman 650 vs. Can-am Spyder RTS/SE5

Miss the Burgy I traded in my 2007 Burgman 650 when I bought my RT 2 years ago. I had originally thought I might keep both but then my wife invoked the "1 bike only" clause of our marriage contract I had forgotten about. The first couple of hundred miles, like a lot of other people, I was...

    RT Radiator Block Install

I just finished installing the SpyderPops heat block. In the instructions it says to remove the floor/belly pan. I removed what I am pretty sure is the correct part. I would love some confirmation that this pic is the correct part to remove.

Where to mount a 12 volt power port?

If you don't mind removing your analog gauges they can be replaced with blanks and powerlet receptacles can be mounted in blanks and your fuel and temp will be displayed digitally on your console display, A few RT owners have done this and posted pics and results in forum..and there are switched...

Why are these Multifunction Gauge Symbols flashing?

I took the Spyder out for a short ride this morning and as I was pulling into the garage the display started flashing the engine icon followed by the icon in the attached picture. These two continued to alternate. I immediately remembered reading this thread and wondered if it could be the same...
