• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Power outlets

I think this is over Yes, question was on the F3, answered on this thread, I think. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?78139-F3-Left-Panel-USB When someone posts and I can't tell what kind of Spyder they have, I look at their profile and their recent posts. Usually the answer is...

Yet another windshield thread for F3

very close . . . . . . . . I am 5'7", otherwise a match. First answer: Wind, yes. Buffeting, no. I wear glasses. I don't wear a helmet, but I do wear goggles if I will be over 55mph for more than 5 miles. Not having a helmet, I don't know about bobble-heading. I have rode at expressway speeds...

Vibration at 67-75 MPH on F3-S

    I may not be smart . . . . . . . . . but, Dan, I know enough to not bet against you. Tom

    Newbie fighting the F3 urge!

Good luck . . . . . . . . with that 'urge' thing. A bunch of us here didn't have much luck doing that. If you can be patient, some good deals will probably turn up during the Summer, and Fall for sure. Tom

Does your F3 have blotches on the suede Seat?

I agree . . . . . . . but I don't think the F3-S seat is leather. ( the F3-S is a different seat from the standard "black" seat and the Cannonball ) I just went out and sprayed water on the seat and it just beaded up. No soaking in or discoloration - and I have also power washed it 2 times...

    F3 AUX LITES

I forgot to post . . . . . . . . . an update. Last week the dealer called me to tell me my AUX lights were in. I asked if the parts kit was complete and ended up sending an email with some of the summarized info posted on this thread ( pictures, parts # ). The parts guy contacted BRP and was...

Vibration at 67-75 MPH on F3-S

Agreed . . . . . . . I don't feel anything unusual or disturbing at any of the speeds mentioned on my F3 - and I have looked. Given the number of comments, something may be going on - but, there may be a personal factor besides the belt tension or harmonics, like weight on the bike, that...

Does your F3 have blotches on the suede Seat?

That is. . . . . . . . . . the way it is supposed to look. I thought the same thing all of you did, that the leather on the seats surface was 'blotchy'. Turns out that is the way it is supposed to be. On the seat's description, they mention that it is sueded/texturized to help keep you butt...

finally heard from the nanny on the F3

Same here . . . . . . I get the feeling I am a pretty aggressive rider too. I've noticed the back tire swinging around on some tight corners, especially where there's a little oil on the pavement and I am 'accelerating' through it. The first time I was; "Whoaa". Second time, "Wow! I like...

    F3 two up?

? Huh ? Ron, that does not sound right. I am 150, threw a 75# feed bag on the back, hit speed bumps @ 35 mph - got bumps, but no bottoming out. I did some casual testing and I don't think I even got an inch and a half travel in the shock, jumping up and down on the load. ( didn't fall off and...

    Transmission Problems

2 things . . . . . . . Only other thing I can think to check is that all your fuses are properly seated and not loose. If you find everything is ok, then call BRP and see if thy can work with the dealer to get this worked out - you can also try another dealer, if that works for you. Tom

    F3 Fuel Gauge and fill-ups

I hope other . . . . . . . . . . . F3 riders chime in with their observations. But, as you describe your experience, the gauge does seem to be off. If you have a good dealer, I would mention it - or just add it to a "Punch List" of things to look at when you take it in for the 1st...

    RT-622 After the Accident

If you don't get a quick answer here . . . . . . . . . . I would try going to the source. Lots of good advice so far, but it wouldn't hurt to contact BRP and ask them if there is a manual or maintenance checklist for the trailer. I realize it is an older trailer and you are not the original...

F3 Fuel System Parts Here is the diagram of the F3 fuel system. Sorry the parts' number/name are so small, but if you want a full size image, PM me with your Email address and I send it to you. You can also go the the BRP website and look at the parts catalogue for the F3...

    F3 Fuel Gauge and fill-ups

No, I got that . . . . . . . . . I was just commenting that I had never gotten low enough for the Fuel light to come on. If/when that is convenient, I will run until it does, just to see what it takes to fill up from that. As far as the top triangle of the guage, it isn't on for very long, -...
