• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just watched the flatbed take her away.

Chris, in your place . . . . . . . . . . I would hope that I had as much common sense and class as you do. Way too often, we Spyder Riders get over-cooked and dramatic over things. Things like this are not fun, but you ( and the rest of us ) will get through it. It is the reason we...

Has anyone experience a "DEATH WOBBLE" in the rain?

Sounds extreme . . . . . . . . . No, I have not experienced anything like what you describe. But, I don't use cruise control in slippery conditions - rain, ice/snow or sand/gravel. I've had the F3 in all these conditions multiple times. Sometimes on sharp corners at 25 mph+, the rear wheel...

    Collected the F3 today

Congratulations! Back on the road again! Enjoy, but be careful, I understand that there are many people in your area that drive on the wrong side of the road. Scary :yikes: Tom

    Key for the F3

    in a word . . . . . . . No. Tom

    Madstad

From my past experience with a Madstad shield and what they have posted, I am expecting it to be easy. It is just a bolt-on. If you can take the BR off, you can put a Madstad on. On my old brackets, I was going to try another shield ( from my BMW ), but I never did - it would have required...

    New F3 in my garage

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. Tom

    Madstad

BeRight got you the answer . . . . . . . . since you are shorter than me, I would guess the 18" would work for you. I will have a better guess on that after I get mine. From the get-go I thought the shield would be the #1 thing that riders would complain about ( if they were able to get on...

    Madstad

I don't know . . . . . . . . I was on the fence about that too, given the flexibility of height + angle + depth, in the past, many other buyers commented on how surprised they were by how much a smaller shield on the Robo-brackets gave them amazing protection. For several ( personal and...

    Madstad

Just about the same . . . . . . . I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam. As I said, I ordered the 20" shield - though the BR is 22" ( to the tips ). Having had one of their older units on my GS, that should be more than ample. I plan on keeping the BR for a spare - it shouldn't be a problem mounting it...

    Got the email too . . . . . . . . I ordered mine, the 20", will post pictures and opinions when I get it. Tom

Don't want to start trouble, but...

Excellent! I had not seen this before, but it is accurate and matches everything I learned working in the Oil Industry. Thanks for posting it Dudley, it is a keeper for the inevitable future oil debates. Tom

Bun Burner 1500 Road Warrior Foundation Benefit

Giving this a bump up the threads . . . . . . . . because it is so worth the time and money. Tom

This Video is even better than the last!!

Great idea . . . . . . . that would work so well here in the USA, I wonder why we have not adopted that? Great flick, thanks OJ for posting it. Tom

Don't want to start trouble, but...

Exactly! . . . . . not just Synthetic oils, all oils. Lubricant oils are all formulated for the engine and transmissions that they service, cars, boats, trains, aircraft, tractors, ect. The additives are blended in to meet the requirements of each mechanical system. Like RPM quoted from the...

    Got her today.

Congratulations! I loved riding my other Spyders too, but like you, the F3 has totally revitalized my riding. to our continued enjoyment! Tom

    Another blue ridge?

Probably not . . . . . . . I am 5'7" and get wind in my face - not bad ( to me ) but with your allergies, probably too much. I have come to really enjoy the Blue Ridge shield, but I will still probably get an adjustable Madstad shield for those longer rides. Check out Madstad.com - shields...

    Operators Guide

Good idea . . . . . . . . I did the same, but just put it in iBooks so it is available on all my devices. Also did scans of my Warranty and Insurance cards and also imported them into iBooks so they are always with me on my phone. Tom
