• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got me a spooder anti-lost dongle And it fits! It's just sitting loose in there, but when the frunk is closed it's not going anywhere. I've also got another stuck to the bottom of the coolant reservoir access panel, because I can 😂

Them dang rattly mirrors! Found a broken piece at the top slot on the left mirror mount plate. Hopefully superglue + epoxy holds. I have the mirror stabilizer kit coming later today.

All of you talking about putting on louder exhausts... meanwhile I'm "upgrading" back to the stock exhaust so I can hear myself think again 😂 "Loud pipes saves lives" may be true for some riders, but I tend to think that being able to hear other vehicles is safer than just having others hear me.

Adjusted my driving lights (high enough for range, low enough to not blind other drivers though the lights will mostly stay off). Pretty bright stuff. Took a few bonus trips down the street and back. Yay. -

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Started wiring up my lights. Went on a small radiator-cleaning side quest. Just blasted it with some foam, scrubbed it a bit with a large brush, and rinsed it off. before: after:

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Very old garage door arms bent into shape with vise and sledge hammer, with a small tab welded on for the second bolt, and 1" sockets for the lights to clamp on...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Nice! I also tried many different brackets and none of them worked for me, so I decided to make my own. The height of yours (~12-13 inches) is perfect for fog lights, but mine are driving lights and must be >=16 inches. The challenge was finding metal that was both thick enough to not flex but...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Tried to figure out where to mount these lights so I could create some brackets: - The controller it came with sorta sucked (5mA of drain when off, high/low beam selection only by toggling power, no ignition control, etc.) I ripped it out of the box and made my own "controller" with 2 relays...

What size is my picture? Here's how to find out!

For Android, I like to use Image Toolbox Lite: https://github.com/T8RIN/ImageToolboxLite for resizing images (get the apk from the Releases page: https://github.com/T8RIN/ImageToolboxLite/releases). It may be a bit intimidating to use at first, but you only need to follow one sequence of...

Discovered this cheapo boxy bag fits on the passenger seat, with the handles looping perfectly around the armrests: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FDWLTH27 Fits inside the trunk, and it fits a modular helmet inside. Nice. Perfect for fast food drive-throughs, if you have the flexibility to...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Integrated my garage door opener, finally... Tapped into the high beam switch wire (shorts to ground) and the gps/accessory connector.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed a battery monitor for my auxiliary battery. No more guessing when to connect a battery tender! - It was after I gave it its first wash. So much for extra waterproofing and avoiding sensitive areas...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today I named my Spyder "speedy tripod"... for all my radio/antenna experiments. The top ram arm releases quickly for access to the trunk. Also: added me some custom shifter traction control! 😂 - -

Fuse Block Receptacle pushed in. Suggestions?

I just had this happen to me, but with a fuse connector on my 2023 RTL. Since it was the same fuse box (left side, viewing from the front), I removed all the tupperware from that side (3 pieces), removed the 2 bolts from the fusebox (also dropped both bolts and had to remove the battery to look...

That may require some microsurgery... Or you could tap into the canbus, but that might be even more difficult.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Made a dash mount RAM ball thing. Not too janky, in my opinion... Used a ton of double-sided tape. Very solid. - -
