• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Which extended warranty policy do you recommend for a Spyder?

In 2020, Pablo bought Ann’s 2017 F3T. She got a 2020 RT. This January, we got her a 22 Ryker, and sold the RT. Joe

How can I remove park brake cable on 2012 RTS? Anyone had a brake cable melt?

Get 2 12mm open end wrenches. On the rear caliper, Loosen the jam nut until it is free. Remove cable from pulley. On the motor end, remove right mirror, wind deflector, upper body panel, and anything else in the way. With the end off the caliper, there is room to remove from the cable from the...

Any reason there's no Trailer hitch for 2022 RT's?

Welcome! Buy any used hitch. If the hitch axle won’t go thru the Spyder axle, buy threaded rod that will fit. Or, have a machine shop make you one. I have not seen this problem, but, since the hitch itself interchanges with all RT models, get a used one. Give me a call if you get stuck. Joe

Anyone put F3 Handle Bars on a 2020+ RT??

How high do I need to lift my Spyder to the get rear wheel off?

Lift it high enough to roll the wheel out once it is free. Get high enough to put a double pedestal jack under the wheel. When it’s time to put it back on, the jack lifts the wheel, instead of lowering the bike. Remove the muffler to make it SO much easier! Give me a call if you need help. I do...

    Saddle bag won't open

There is a way: Open trunk, and saddlebag that will open. The two screws that hold the rear panel are hidden by the saddlebag lid. Remove them, and the 4 across the top of the trunk. The rear panel is now held by the saddlebag that is stuck. Gently bend the panel on the open saddlebag side until...

Order the new one. If the older one was 10K less, ok. For a couple of thousand, it’s a no brainer. Newer is better!

Left Side Saddlebag Stuck closed - how to access the cable to replace them?

Minor adjustment. Lie down so you can see the cable from below the saddlebag. There is an adjuster; loosen the lock ring, turn the adjuster counterclockwise 1 revolution, tighten the lock ring. Open saddlebag. Cables stretch. Not a big deal. If it is rusty or corroded, have dealer replace the...

To kill or not to kill (switch), that is the question

Really. That’s where training comes in. Emergency procedures. Practice. Take the class. Learn. Practice more. I guess shutting your eyes, swearing, and hoping for the best is a technique; just not a good one!

To kill or not to kill (switch), that is the question

I’ll put my MSF Safety Instructor hat on; use the engine cut off switch EVERY TIME you turn off the Spyder. This creates muscle memory. If you are about to crash, are on fire, going off the road……you are only going to do what you have trained to do. Do not remove your hand from the grip to turn...

How big is too big for a Ryker?

Ride one and see. Greg, chime in. They are fun. We just got a Rally, and have 2 900’s to play with on the tour. See my thread on Demo tour, click on the link, find a test ride. Ride. Then decide. Saddles are the key. Once you find the right one, the rest is just fun! Not a touring bike, but...
