• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else got Poor brakes on their Spyder? Any fixes?

It's not the grip. It's the momentum of your upper body being slung forward.

Anyone else got Poor brakes on their Spyder? Any fixes?

I agree that flat out stopping power of the brakes is very good at a minimum. My problem is me. I find it difficult to not induce some input to the handlebars on one side or the other which causes the bike to dart. The steering is rather quick and keeping a balanced grip on the bars under...

Does any Spyder have Autonomous Braking?

Adaptive cruise would be nice, I'm spoiled. But emergency braking - no way. If your car hits the brakes when you don't expect it you are already strapped in and in a lot safer place than on two or three wheels. First time someone gets thrown off will be the first of many lawsuits.

How about heated gear - what's your favorite? Any other suggestions?

+1 on Tourmaster. Their jacket has built in controller which make the price hard to beat.

Belt tension 190 on ground = how much wheel off ground?

Anybody know the answer to the original question? 160 with wheel on the ground equals ? with wheel in the air?

Is airbag needed with aftermarket shock? How to fill airbag and leave set?

I think the manufacturers have already answered this question. You will be hard pressed to find a bike that does not have adjustable pre-load on the rear, whether it's a collar with spanner wrench or some remote set-up. The difference of adding 100-200 lbs right above the shock is too great...

Hopefully a new ACS question - can the ACS be set to a higher ride height?

I did have the ACS calibrated when the problem first started. It holds air fine. I disconnect the purge valve and can put whatever amount of air and it holds for weeks if not longer. That's my dilemma, it works fine except it runs about 10-15lbs less than what the bike needs and what should...

Hopefully a new ACS question - can the ACS be set to a higher ride height?

Wow, I'm impressed Snowbelt. You must have the best memory around here. Yes, this did start after a tire change but I haven't been able to draw a connection. The system works has intended as far as adding and releasing air. I'm 200lbs + gear and the ACS will maintain about 35 to 40lbs. I've...

Hopefully a new ACS question - can the ACS be set to a higher ride height?

I have a problem with the rear bottoming out riding 1 up or 2 up. I disconnected the purge valve and manually fill the bag to 50lbs for 1 up and 75 for 2 up and the bottoming out stops. After riding for a hour I get a suspension fault that clears when the bike shuts off. My question: can the...

What's the best music app to use in phone and listen to in a Sena?

Spotify, and if no cell I have some music already downloaded on Spotify. Most apps work well at this point in time.

Android Auto/Apple Carplay standalone mountable display, pretty slick

Certainly looks interesting. My concern is when on a long trip I would need to charge the phone anyway. Does the touchscreen work well with touchscreen gloves?

What's causing this Wobble while braking?

The spyder is a unique veichle. As I read through this thread I was thinking to myself: get your hands off the bars. I thought I had a problem because the bike seemed to pull mainly to the left under hard braking. I was about to tear into things and thought of taking my hands completely off...

A bicycle kickstand may do the trick

First Service Done & it feels smoother! What did they do?

If the smoothness is the transmission shifting smoother then I would agree it 's the fresh oil. Recently did the second oil change on my RT and used Mobil 1 4T 10W40. The transmission certainly seems to shift smoother. Less then 1000mi so far, so we shall see. Always a fan of Mobil 1. Doing...

PHONE volume LOUD, but not GPS or HEADSET - am I missing something?

Also be aware that you may be only able to adjust phone volume while the phone call is active. The same for gps and music. The gps has to be speaking directions in order to adjust the gps volume. Same with music.
