• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

100% agree that when you find a 'crew' that matches your style of riding, it's hard to leave that bubble and ride with 'others'. The few times I joined 'group' rides, I didn't enjoy them due to 'odd' and various riding styles/antics. Usually the problems occur from mixing spirited & casual...

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

I've totaled 2 bikes (in 2015 a Triumph Trophy on ice & in 2018 a Tiger 1200 deer kill). Insurance bought me a new set of ATGATT each time and I walked away with a bruised hip and scratched lid on both get-offs. The very few times I've been lax were local trips to the store (no deer or ice). At...

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

I've been riding the twisties with my BMW friends for 15 yrs (Love the Smokies). Me on a Triumph Trophy up until switching to the 2020 RT (w/upgrades). I found the 'fun' from leaning into the curves exciting at speed. I have the same 'fun' on the RT doing the same thing and (mostly) keeping up...

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

This forum has a broad spectrum of riders with different requirements for their gear and equipment. Many have no issues with the Kendas and see no reason to upgrade. Good for those who don't need to expend more money to improve their ride. But many of us have exceeded the abilities of the Kenda...

Wish I had not gone with a Vredestien Tire

I had a similar problem with rain vision when I had my Zumo mounted on top of the dash cowl. When I moved it to the handlebars, the airflow greatly improved my vision.

Anyone found or come up with something to keep the contents in those annoying side load saddle bags?

https://www.allterraindepot.com/products/3pc-lid-net-set-41-156 I installed these at the leading edge of the box, not on the door. It keeps 'stuff' from falling out. No drilling, per se. I used self-tapping screws.

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

I'm always ATGATT on my rides (2 or 3). BUT, with the Spyder on a quick run (3 miles) to the store and back, I sometimes only wear the helmet, jacket, & gloves with jeans & sneakers .

Newbie just got my Spyder - what's the cheapest/best option for putting a rear seat back rest on my 2022 base RT?

FWIW, The LinQ rack is a multi-purpose base for several add-ons. I switch between a Shad top case with a backrest pad, a Rotopax gas container, or just a flat base for carrying bulk items on my '20 RT Base. Note, my avatar pic has the Rotopax for the long tours.

RT Muffler needs repair at flared end - any thoughts or sources on repair pipes with flares?

That's the plan. Thanks for the ideas from everyone!

RT Muffler needs repair at flared end - any thoughts or sources on repair pipes with flares?

My 2020 RT muffler wore through under the exhaust clamp. I've tried a layer of soda can (AL) to patch the slit, but that burned thru. A new muffler is obscenely expensive, so I'm thinking of cutting off the end and welding in a new flared pipe. Any thoughts or sources for a short 'repair pipe'...

I HATE Vapor recovery (ECO) gasoline pump nozzles! Is this just "my issue" only? Anyone else? What do you do to avoid this?

2025 RT Ltd in need of 1st Service - How much!?!?

Maybe $75. for parts/oil so $300 labor. How many hours did they quote for the job? Labor ain't cheap!

After some True Can-Am insight - will I be making a huge mistake buying the RTL or F3?

Agree that Can Am dealers are hit & miss. The HD and Honda dealers are everywhere. That said, I've been thrashing a 2020 RT for +40k miles. The RT has never been back to the dealer. Granted, there are others here that have multiple problems and are quick to inform us of their grief. All...

    Pulse and Origin fire sale...

The one person I know who owns an electric motorcycle (Victory) hasn't ridden it in the 3 years I've known him. When he rides 2 wheels, he's running gasoline!

Spyder downshifting when throttle backed off 3rd thru 6th no matter the speed - anyone else? Any suggestions?

This may sound odd but check your battery connections. Strange gremlins appear if not solid & clean.

My 2021 S2S Brake light switch recall done in less than 15 mins - Did they just change the springs? Anyone else had it done?

I replaced mine before the recall came out. It required removing the large black panel to access the connector. I can't imagine how that can be done in 15 minutes.:unsure::ninja: Unless they spliced the new switch into old wires. If they did that, they are cheating the recall labor time.
