• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I only pair the Spyder to my helmet for music. The phone goes straight to the helmet also. I don't use the voice from the GPS, it's mounted high enough to see w/o distraction.

    The sway bar reduces the cross drafts on the slab and tightens the front end in 'spirited' cornering. You'll know when it's time to upgrade.

    Sorry for your loss, @poppajim. Any 2020+ RT will provide a world of fun with plenty of comforts. Don't discount a Base model in your scope for a little savings.

    I don't think the cover comes with the 2020 RT Limited. You can buy the cover from the BRP 'parts' site. It's called a rear fairing, cost ~$260.

    Here in New Jersey the Polar Bear Grand Tour kicked off today. We ride to a different lunch destination every Sunday from now until late April. Best time of year to ride since all the sun-worshipers are hibernating! If ain't snowing, we're going!

    FWIW, get a quote from iMotorsports and ask your local dealer to match it. I went to my service manager and he had no problem matching the quote and I feel better giving the business to the locals.

    A friend I ride with chose to install cheap pads on his bike. We told him at the time they looked like Graham Crackers. He got ~1000 miles on them before they were spent. You get what you pay for. Most of my crew have been running EBC for years and get good mileage and great stopping power.

    The appeal of "Big Iron" is losing it's base as riders get older. Those that still have the need to ride are moving to 3 wheels (or golf carts). BRP appears to be asleep at the switch. The Canyon is a niche market but the Spyder/Ryker line is an obvious 'off-ramp' for all those baby boomers...

    Buying a new helmet - who replaces them every 5 years per manufacturers spec??

    I have 4 helmets currently. A 3/4 that is ~5yrs old that has been worn twice. A Klim modular ~5yrs (too round), and 2 HJC Rpha 90 modulars (1 is carbon fiber). I have yet to wear out a lid because insurance replaces them before they age out. :rolleyes:

    Not fer nothing, but I can't imagine cell service having anything to do with the DESS receiver. Signal blockage is more likely your problem assuming the DESS isn't fading into oblivion.
