• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Vibrating bell sound… I think it coming from the left front ?

Brucie's reply was not a joke. In fact, as I read your post, I was thinking "gremlin bell installed by previous owner", then re-read your post and saw "New 2021 Spyder F3 ..." My suggestion would be to find a ripply road to see if you can replicate the sound reliably. That would help to...

How to Fix Hyperflash in Directional Signals??

I would like to add item 2a. 2a. While holding the hazard light switch down, watch all the warning lights in the gauges carefully. They will flash VERY quickly at some point. After they flash, you can release the hazard switch. (Ours took about 20 seconds.) .

A couple of alternate names might be more appropriate. Fakebook. Faecesbook. .

Review: Russell Day Long Seat - 2018 F3-L

My first custom saddle was in 1979, on my brand-new KZ1300. I rode it to the Mayer Day Long Saddle shop in California (we lived there, too, so it was only about 150 miles) for a ride-in fitting. Rode home that evening, never squirmed once on the way home. A couple of weeks later, we rode to...

    Cornering Nightmare - Update

Touching back a bit on the suspension. You mentioned extensive experience and changing just one thing at a time. Great concept. In the 2-wheeler world, I am amused by the riders that install thicker fork oil to prevent diving while braking. It takes quite a bit to convince them that it's the...

A few observations about my Spyder RT Ltd...

Although 'our' Spyder is actually HERS, we have ridden 2-up a few times. I have found that the passenger needs to be more active as a co-rider than simply a passenger. Certainly moreso than on a 2-wheeler. Communication is VITAL. However, it's not cheap. I have never looked into SENA, Cardo...

Looking for Handlebar risers for 2018 RT - any suggestions?

We got the Tri-Axis bars for my wife's '17 RT-S. Local dealer said that the black ones are about $650, chrome is about $825. He had exactly ONE set of bars in stock, and of course, they were chrome. However, since they had been sitting on his shelf since about 2014, he let us have them for...

    ECO vs standard gearing

We tried ECO mode, we tried "Normal" mode. We found that the throttle was a bit too sensitive or "twitchy" in "Normal" mode, so we leave it in ECO. As far as that "dinky green arrow" is concerned, let's just say that it's not any more visible than the turn signal arrows, and I am certainly not...

We all have some unusual road names out there, what's yours?

That is exactly what I was thinking of when I saw the title of this thread. And, ... I have gone by that sign MANY times. .

Fuel status, low fuel warning light, & how should I fill??

Another thing that might help a bit, Greg, is trying to find a pump where the ground is not quite level. If you can park nose-up, it helps burp some of the air. .

Compare a 500 mile ride on a Spyder with same on 2 wheels?

I am going to go slightly against the grain here. If you read all the previous posts carefully, they are all rather experienced on their respective Spyders. The Spyder in our family is my wife's. Not long after we got it, I rode it for a weekend to the Southeast oHIo Spyder get-together in...

    Tarp or No Tarp?

One other thing to consider: IF you cover it with a tarp, can you GUARANTEE that there will be no wind flapping it around? A moving tarp is at least as good as 200-grit sandpaper on a painted finish. Also consider that the finish on a Spyder does not seem to be as durable as most other...

RT622 hitch slipping down while towing - is this right?

I have seen a few hitches, but never really examined one up close, so I will have to ask a couple of questions out of pure ignorance. From the description, it appears that there is exactly ONE mounting point for the hitch, and it's at the axle? Meaning that only the friction of a very tight...

Has anyone ordered from VALUE ACCESSORIES ?

I have not only ordered from them, I have had the pleasure of walking through their trailer at a couple of rallies. I have also thanked them personally for providing such wonderful service. .

I got one of those for the Spyder, I will likely be getting more for the other bikes and cages. .

    Baja Ron sway BAR explained

I still find it a bit ironic that the devices that actually absorb the shocks are the springs. The "shocks" or "shock absorbers" are actually the hydraulic dampers that keep the spring from bouncing uncontrolled. But I digress. The "shocks" will control the bike when you encounter a bump or a...

    Baja Ron sway BAR explained

Have not yet watched the video, but it was explained to me that the tie rods and the suspension arms do not pivot in the same areas, so as the suspension moves in a turn, the steering changes a bit. The anti-sway bar minimizes the amount of suspension movement, thereby improving the handling. .

To trailer, or not to trailer? That is the question. I'm downright torn.

I have pulled trailers with two-wheelers since 1978. Most have already stated, but I will repeat, when loaded properly, you will hardly know they are there. I have not pulled a trailer with a three-wheeler, but I would presume that they are less-affected by a trailer than a two-wheeler. The...
