• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Safety Gear

What is your level fun vs safety? I don't care what adventurist activity you are involved in. You all ask yourself the ultimate question... safety. Are you willing to risk safety for pleasure? There are lots of harmful activities out there that people get involved in that give them pleasure...

    Safety Gear

MC gear is for p*ssies In the summer I wear shorts, sneakers and a T-shirt.:firstplace: I dont even wear underwear cause I like that cooling sensation. I don't own a full face helmet because they give a false sense of safety. I have investigated many motorcycle accidents and never...

    Brake replacement

Do your sanity and wallet a favor and bring it to the dealer. I just had my brakes replaced @ 27,000 miles and only did so because I was replacing all my tires.

    How dangerous is road debris?

I only ride/drive as fast as I can brake and pull over if I'm blocking traffic.

    Pain in the A..

Money wasted over the years. I have wasted money on Corbins, Sergeants, Mustangs and even an upholstery shop. I might as well have flushed my dough down the toilet. The "problem" with these seats is the outrageous cost to add $20.00 worth of material only to find the "fit" is off. The other...

    Belt Replacement - Anyone Else?

Belt Life? What is BRPs belt life? My belt is over 27,000 miles and looks new. I ride over gravel from time to time and nada on any damage. This is a big nothing burger because its failure is both visible for inspection and when it fails it will not leave you stranded.

    Which IPOD Compatible with F3

Screw Ipod I'm sick of dealing with Apple. I'm sick of my music being deleted by Apple. I'm sick of reprogramming my music to save it on SD cards. I'm sick of my car not recognizing my Ipod. I'm sick of filing a complaint with the Attorney General of PA to get Apple to unlock my music. (yes I...

BRP Idler Failure....DONT BEAT ME UP

Idlers are like a box of chocolates. This is beginning to sound like "six of one and a half dozen of another". Any idler on a vibrating belt like this is bound to be beaten to death. My BRP idler had 25,000+ miles on it when the spring was discovered broken. Nothing was damaged other then my...

BRP Idler Failure....DONT BEAT ME UP

Thanks all for the responses. Anyone have Docs website? Even though my dealer has probably already installed another BRP, I'm considering trying another brand.

BRP Idler Failure....DONT BEAT ME UP

The bearing was in near perfect condition. The big tension spring is what cracked. My dealer never contacted BRP because it was over the one year mark. Considering its cost I'm not mad that BRP or my dealer will not replace under warranty. He still has my bike and is installing a new BRP idler...

BRP Idler Failure....DONT BEAT ME UP

My bike needed tires, break pads, fluids, spark plugs, filters etcetera. (27,000 mile overhaul $$$$$$) I asked my dealer to replace my trusted BRP idler because 25,000 miles is a lot to ask considering the abuse it takes. After an hour he comes out and tells me replacing the BRP idler was a good...

Belt Tension, Vibration, & Front Sprocket Failure

There is no way to research the relationship you mentioned. BRP has upgraded (changed) the specs on the newer front sprocket and now receives a new part number. The idler simply dumb downs the extreme on/off vibration and not all the vibration you and your bike receives. Don't play with BRPs...

    BEST warranty pricing

I just purchased my 3 year extension for $960.00 at my dealership. I don't know if its a great price but since they work on my bike and I do all my business there I'm "assuming" they'll take care of me.

    Heated grip help

Fuse? Did you check continuity? Did you check amps at the Switch? This is why I wire accessories myself. I keep it simple cause simple works.

    Heated grip help

The 12v under the seat is one of three accessory circuits available to plug in a variety of gizmos or contraptions. Heated anything draws a lot of amps so run a direct line to the battery and add a fuse so you don't fry something. The Spyder is VERY unfriendly in any altercations to its...

    This is belt vibration, right?

How do you know they are better? My front Kenda tires are about to be replaced after 26,000 trusted miles. My rear Kenda tire averages 13,000 miles. and that's with a softer tire rated for a lightweight vehicle to aid in traction.

    Spider trip to Nova Scotia

Slightly off topic I have never been able to plot a course and transmit this to my GPS. I'm looking at that plotted course with envy. Does anyone know how to plot a course on Google Maps (or other map software) and upload to a GPS?
