• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    09 RS runs really rich

:agree: Check you slip joint gasket, also called a 'Y' gasket. The original ones burn out around 17k, replace them with Honda 'Y' gaskets. Easy fix.

    Go Texas Rednecks!

Lifted truck do come in handy! A couple years ago, the Houston area flooded and those trucks were out evacuating people. This flood is deeper so more boats were needed, but lifted trucks to the rescue once more. Glad they're getting some recognition for their help. :firstplace:

    HURRICANE HARVEY

They didn't evacuate, but are safe. Mark and Charlynn's house is dry with a generator and supplies to last a long time. ***** JCThorne is spot on. Thank you for describing the situation so well! ***** We live in the northwest part of Houston, inside Loop 99. On our street, half the homes...

What do women think when they see a man they like?

Bob, it depends if you know how to cook a goose properly. Ooooo... I missed that one! If you like to dance, you need a partner... :2thumbs:

How to gear up to ride comfortably and safely in really hot weather?

Table salt is sodium. Nothing else. I agree, too much salt/sodium is not good for you. Sea Salt has a long list of minerals that are good for your body. It comes from nature, nothing added, nothing taken out. Depending on the heat, I usually put a pinch or two in a water bottle and drink it...

What do women think when they see a man they like?

Mister P nailed it. Other ponderings might be.. Can he cook? Does he like to ride Spyders? Does he have a sense of humor?

How to gear up to ride comfortably and safely in really hot weather?

Every BODY is different... No. There is no cut and dry solution to riding in the heat. Every Body is different. I like the heat. Don't take the liners out of my jacket till it reaches 80. The heat starts to affect me at 105. Hubby starts to have heat problems at 95. Case in...

    Prohibited weapons in Australia

Ok, I'm getting home sick for Australia. Two ladies who are my role models... No. 2... Met her at a Hotel playing pool. She had come in from the outback for a little R&R. She played for beers and always won. As the evening lingered on, I was able to play her. I'm not a good of pool...

    Prohibited weapons in Australia

We visited an island off South Molle that had a colony of Drop Bears. They are not to be messed with. Emergency helicopter evacuation from that spot is expensive. Cane Toads are another danger. Especially to pets.

Tire burn out with Cat Bypass & Big City Thunder Baffle

I had a cat-delete done and kept the OEM pipe on. It ran like crap. That was strange because people say it runs better after the delete. Had a baffle put in and it was a little better, but not great. Found out what the problem was.... When working on a Spyder, you have to work with the...

    Prohibited weapons in Australia

I lived two years is Brisbane and much to my fellow ex-pats horror, I preferred the Aussie's company to theirs. The Aussies have a thing called "Polite Society" manners. That is how they are responding to your assumptions of their culture. I have no qualms about getting things set right...

    Riding in the rain

I've ridden in the rain on two and three-wheelies. It doesn't bother me. Till one time on my Spyder. It started raining hard right before a construction zone and mud was washing across the road. Very slippery! The fish-tailing settled down at 10 mph and van behind me kept a safe...

    This is Thought Provoking...

I have tried to live with no regrets, tried to take every opportunity that that came my way. Be it a learning experience or an adventure. Didn't catch them all but you can't turn back time, just move forward. Like AKSpyderMan said, "Some things are in our control, and some not. We need to...

Do you belong to a local Spyder club?

Just want to give you another side of the coin... 1. I would not join a club that would have me. 2. Number one took care of number two. 3. Oh man, that reminds me of my two wheelie days when some macho guys 'drink and ride club' from the other side of town asked me to join. They thought...

    "Liquid ants"

Hate those fire ants too. :gaah: It's fun to find a large ant mound, light a cigarette and place the filter in the top of the mound like a tower. The ants will swarm up the cig. The ones at the top get burned, fall off, leaving their buddies behind them to do the same. Voila! An ant...
