• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Beautiful day for a ride! Just don't get caught speeding in Norway!

Thank you for info ED! Think I will just drop the idea and be more aware when driving, especially in 50km and lower zones.

Beautiful day for a ride! Just don't get caught speeding in Norway!

I would have to investigate a bit to find out! Do they detect the laser-guns that the cops use?

Beautiful day for a ride! Just don't get caught speeding in Norway!

In the back of my head I knew they probably was out somewhere looking for targets going to the event. In todays paper I read that 48 people got pulled over and fined in traffic control yesterday, so I was not alone. Next event I will pay more attention to the speed for sure.

Beautiful day for a ride! Just don't get caught speeding in Norway!

I should have stayed home! :cus: Was out enjoying my RTS and the twisty roads, weather was perfect, warm and sunny! Thought I would swing by a "Bikes, cars, and coffee" event that is held at a nice little diner every Wednesday during the riding season. With just 10 minutes left of...

What do I need for Brake pad replacement?

In the video you see him pry the old pads on front wheels appart with a flat screwdriver, that will compress the pistons. Rear piston is screwed in by using a tool. As I recall from last time I did this, I took reservoir caps off. Just keep the surroundings clean so no dust or stuff goes in the...

    Happy Birthday

Wonderful day today, sunny and a mild breeze. Family came to celebrate my 64th today, I fed them various stuff from the :bbq:, poured them coffee and soda, scooped ice-cream for the grandkids. Now they've all gone home and I'm in my comfy chair with my feet up enjoying a drink from the Martini...

Do Spyder Drive Belts age or wear out?

My 2012 RT has 15k miles on it and at the end of last season my belt gave in. I must admit I was not clever doing inspections on the belt, but suddenly about 6 inches of "teeth" peeled off while accelerating from a parking area and onto the road. So I reckon the rubber gave up due to old age...

Is it OK to adjust belt with rear wheel off the ground, in gear, & running?

I will make a stop by your webshop and order one, if not my local dealer has one in stock. As for my previous belt, it lasted allmost 12 years. I was probably just lucky ;)

Is it OK to adjust belt with rear wheel off the ground, in gear, & running?

Well, I have never had a tension tool of any kind, but sitting behind the bike and adjust tracking is easy. When I replaced the drivebelt last season I took the RT to the dealer for service and had them do a proper belt tension for the new belt. All the other times I have fidddled with the...

Is it OK to adjust belt with rear wheel off the ground, in gear, & running?

I have set the tracking this way several times and it works fine. Tension I have left to the dealer as I had to get a new belt at the end of last season. Just remember to secure the Spyder while you work on it!

2010 RT-S with front end wobble after brake change - can anyone help?

Does the wobble come after driving a while or is it constant? If it comes after a while your new pads might pinch the disc a tad and get really hot, which will cause the disk to deform and create the wobble. If it is constant, my guess is that something is not properly placed when putting wheels...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Finaly took the time to install the SpeedBleeders I got in the mailbox this winter. I had totally forgotten about them, till I found the package during a clean up in the office. :opps: The two in front was an easy job, but the rear one made me wish I had an extra joint on my fingers. I could...

Frunk is soaking wet after a wash - any thoughts on where it's coming from??

Not on my Spyder, yet, but on my boat I have used "Kolor Kut Paste" with good results for finding out where water have leaked through without leaving any traces other than a lil puddle on the floor. Especially around my windows. I just smeared the paste around all the windows on the side with...

    LaMonster Garage Contest 2024

After having my right leg cooked by the heat from the radiator fan during summer rides, I remembered seeing people on here write about heat shields and then I went straight to their webshop and ordered this one for my 2012 RTS...

Safe jacking points on an 2012 RT-S

I have a 2012 RTS also and I realy love my BigBlue for lifting the Spyder when working on it ! They cost a bit, but so does the hours at the local dealers workshop. It have saved me a few trips. And it is good on my knees ;) Youtube link to see how they work > https://youtu.be/DIoQuzc5sn0

Is it normal for the Belt to travel across the rear sprocket?

Last time my belt was adjusted it was done by the dealer cause I also got a new belt. If I am not remebering it all wrong from when I did it myself, you shall turn it clockwise. However, it is easier to see and figure out if you have your Spyders rear wheel off the ground. Jack it up so tire is...

Hiya John, and yes, I did. It is a great camera and over here, it's also a good deal cheaper than the GoPro. (y) Glad you liked the vid!
