• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bright Headlights Daytime Yes or No

I mounted extra LED lights to be seen during daytime riding, they are really bright, and I think they are really making me noticed. The high beams are making onward traffic flashing me back, so I never use them at daytime.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Just checked that it was comfy in the garage and threw my fist at the clouds heavy with rain !:cus:

Where is the Height sensor arm located?

On my 2012 RTS the arm in mention ( I hope this is what you have in mind) is located here by the arrow. No worries, all my panels was off for another job, this can be inspected by just getting down there and look.

Off to "Blefjell" camping site in Norway on my RTS

My wife took the ferry to Denmark together with a woman she used to work with before retiring, so I decided to take off a couple of days on the Spyder. Booked a small cabin on a campsite and used that as a base for roundtrips in the area. I have never been in that part of Norway before, so I was...

    Spyder Sightings

A kind of sighting... A friend of mine lent me a new book he had bought; "Norway's Best MC Tours" and said I would be interested in one page at least. So I started reading and there it was, a very familiar Spyder RTS 2012 and my wife standing beside it! As there are not too many Spyders in...

Is the Glove box waterproof, before I learn the hard way?

The only liquid I have found on in my glovebox was a chocolate bar melted by the heat of the engine below! :gaah: Never any water from the outside.

Fitted New Rotors and Pads, now there's weird wear marks! Is this normal?

I resently changed all my brakepads and for the first time I followed Peters instruction. My brakes have never been better and the disks looks like the pads have full width contact

Parking brake not working - what's the process to adjust? Does this look right?

My pleasure! Good luck with repairs.

Parking brake not working - what's the process to adjust? Does this look right?

I drew on your picture of the switch. The bent metal should be straightened out so the little wheel on it will roll on the angled part when actuated. That will make it move upwards and actuate the little knob by the arrow and stop the brake motor. Hope my English is understandable. And it...

Oh, that would have been awesome to experience once, I bet you had a great time. Too bad about no photos, but rules are rules. Thank you for the story.

    Iconic aeroplanes!

Drove the Spyder to our local airport today. The local AmCar Norway Club had an event and advertised an airshow as well. I walked around and there were a lot of different cars, new and old. Since I live less than 8km (direct line) from the airport, I hurried home and set my DSLR camera up with a...

Do new brake pads work weakly at first?

Hi all! Back with final update - I did the brake sequence you suggested today, when the weather was good enough finally. Three times to 90 km and slammed the brakes hard, continued on a little round trip, and the brakes are now 100% good. :ohyea: Thank you to all for the good advice

Do new brake pads work weakly at first?

Hi JayBros! The pads are from a local dealer that gave up on Can Am On-roads and since we live in a coastal town, just continued to sell Sea Doos. They did a little work on my RT in the past and gave me their entire stock of brake pads for the Spyder. :2thumbs: Tomorrow I will find a place and...

Do new brake pads work weakly at first?

That I will do Pegasus  And hopefully have them working better for the planned ride with some friends tomorrow afternoon. I have also heared some people give the pads a brush over with a steelbrush before installing, any thoughts ?

Do new brake pads work weakly at first?

Hi friends! I changed all the brake pads today on my 2012 RTS, and after getting the wheels back on the ground, I took a test drive in the neighbourhood. Pedal felt fine, but the old pads stopped the bike better. So my question is, will the brake effect be better after a while, or is there...

Battery Dead, seat not opening - does it need power to open?

Hope you recover 100% Sledge ! I just had a thought about the seatlock. I don't know if it is doable, but I reckon people in here will tell us. I just saw a seat for the RT with a fuel door that allows you to fuel without having to lift the seat, it also has a lock and key. What if one of those...
