• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3-S pulls to the right - could the sway bar install have done this? Is it easy to re-align myself?

There is a handlebar angle sensor in the system. So it can't be more out of line than before, or you would get a code. If you were to adjust toe in/out, it could throw that off, and need BUDS to reset the sensor. Adjusting toe in/out needs to be done with a laser. A better sway bar must just...

What is the Correct Garmin for my '16 RT Ltd?

well, your dealer is a little off. 2016 has a Garmin 660, looked on the BRP spec sheet. The mounts are different. I have the 590 on my 2015. Have to switch one or the other, so keeping mount and finding a 660 is the best

Can anyone post a pic of the Seat Latch Lug on a 2022 Spyder RT?

That pin only holds the seat in place on the front side and you have to have the key to open it. It shouldn't have anything to do with seat heating. What you need is the "plug" to attach the wiring harness to. If you DON'T have the plug coming from seat you DON'T have a heated seat option...

    Stupid is as stupid does!

I saw a little video clip about this story. They were in a boat, drinking alcohol, and firing blanks with other boats/people around to video this.

Any Chicago area dealers who will mount car tire?

What the dealership REALLY means is, you're not buying a tire from us, so just mounting a tire you bring in, is NOT enough money to make for the time. Some dealerships mount them, are they taking the liability? NO. The fronts, if you take them off, I had Walmart install and spin balance them...

Fitted EBC Rotors and Pads, now it has a pulsing feeling when slowing down under a light pedal!

They say what you need to do is to ride, then do a few/multiple quick stops to bed them in. They might NOT be fully contacting the full pad.

    Trip, Maine to Yellowstone

Agreed... I stayed in Jackson Hole for 4 nights as I visited Yellowstone. Most hotels/motels or places to stay as such were $300/$400 a night.

2011 RT - Checking coolant level. What is the best procedure to remove the plastic rivet holding the right service cover ?

They make push pin pullers. I don't have any, just use a thin flat blade screwdriver

Need Help in North Las Vegas Nevada replacing battery (Not Urgent... Sometime in Next 2 Weeks)

Hi Rick, I thought you already sold it!! Sorry to hear about the bladder problem, but that's amazing you can be part of a study to help you get better. I don't think I would even try to make that battery better!! Spyder's are power hungry, and a one time start could lead to problems when you...

My Ryker 900 always leaks at the oil filter cap - what's going on?

Nobody has mentioned this yet. Even the Ryker is a dry sump engine, like the Spyder. Do not check the oil level cold, or you will overfill. I see you're a member since 2018, should have seen by now proper way to fill and check the oil level after running, then shut off, then check. There has...

Totally bonkers 'Miles to empty' on Can Am 2023 RTL - can it be fixed?

No need for a trip to a dealer, they won't be able to fix it. It's just a lazy computer factoring the MPG. Just use your trip meter to remember when to fill up. This issue has been reported a multitude of times. Even when you start back up, it might read and tell you something different, or it...

Any time limit on changing HCM filter during oil change? Is a 10 y/o filter good for a few more years?

Well, that HCM filter doesn't have a time limit, only a miles limit, unlike the oil - 9,300 miles or 1 yr. So I guess if you're worried about it, give it a change.

Is the Radiator vulnerable to damage?

Of course they are. Positioned down low for any debris to hit them. Aluminum or stainless steel construction of thin walled materials to aid in heat dissipation. Could get hit hard enough to cause a leak. Could get hit a little less of impact to slightly pinch or crush the small waterways.

In Memory of those Members who are now riding the Forever Road - RIP

Oh, in the other thread title the name given was AKspyder, so I didn't know anyone by that name. But using ARtraveler, now I know. What a loss of his help and contributions to this site. Ride that forever road on your F3!!

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

It's Not called 'dark side' on Spyders, cause Spyder rims are J style rims, and car tires are J style beads. So they are a proper fit. Kenda tires are labeled "for special motorcycle use only" cause of their cheaper construction to NOT hold weight of a car!

What kind of milage should I expect from a Vredestein rear tire?

I think the odd groove styling on the Vdestrian, makes people think those grooves should criss cross. They don't, appearing to make center area look worn out. Do the Lincoln head penny trick, if you don't have a tire depth gauge
