• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Review: I am Very Impressed with this Coat, Shine, & Protect Product!!

I will have to try some. It looks better/easier for me than ceramic coating, that's hard work, rub on - then wipe off!

Learning about my RT bit by bit

No OBD plug. Software is proprietary to BRP. Have to buy BUDS2 program. Yes jack right there on main frame. Sometimes I jack on rear shock using block of wood between it & jack. Many places to buy service manual.

Most amount of miles/KM you have ridden in one day on the Spyder

On my Out West Trip in 2018, my biggest day was 843 miles. Next day was 743 miles, then I was in Colorado. Had 3 days around 800- 810 miles on a 2-week trip. I have a Russell DayLong seat. A lot of it is mind over matter type of thinking and the will to push on. I've done 2 Iron Butt 1,000...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

Just to make sure you are getting an accurate reading, the kricket gauge should be on TOP side or smooth side; in the middle of the belt related to the pulleys; in line with the belt; and in the middle of its width. Reading it this way, with the wheel on the ground, I have mine as well as with...

Will my 2024 F3T need a belt vibration damper?

It all depends on how tight belt is. Higher belt tension = more vibration felt

998cc Did Bad fuel cause additional problems? Ideas?

I'll give a brief answer, I don't know all specifics. But you CAN use 87 octane. 91 or 93 is recommended but not required. Possible source of running bad are the 2 short MAP 3mm hoses. Got micro cracks in them. Possible denergated plug wires

Swing Arm Link to Air Suspension not connected!

This is just pitiful!!! I have been seeing all these reports that the auto adjust linkage has NOT been attached. Don't the assemblers have a check off list to put these Spyders together?? What else might have been forgotten?

What Max Temp Reading have you seen for ambient air on your Spyder?

It's not for the luxury of the rider. It's for the engine and computer for combustion! Just wait 'til you stop at a traffic light in HOT weather, it really goes up!!

    Buying used - 2015 Spyder F3-S - is this milage/usage a concern?

You can ask if any codes have been thrown. But that takes an honest seller. Could also ask for VIN # to take to a dealer (if they would be so energetic to look it up) to see what has been reported and done for servicing.

Should Ryker Tie rods be the same length?

'Tinkering' with it will only get ABOUT RIGHT. Not sure about a Ryker, but Spyders have a steering sensor to add info to the computer about VSS. So hopefully either before or after the tinker, that didn't get thrown off. Other factors play into the "feeling", tire pressure, poor Kenda tires...

    Who Uses Shell Rotella T-6

A lot of us Spyder riders do. But T6 is 5W-40, unless that's a typo, or T6 comes in 5W and 15W, being not aware of 15W of T6. I also use it in my Honda NT700V. Cheaper alternative is to buy it in 5-gallon containers rather than quart size.
