• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Introducing myself and my 'Batmobile'.

Maybe this is why the original owner sold the Spyder? There are a number of items to check. With the engine running and in gear, do you hear the compressor? You don't say what year, but an F3 limited will have auto fill leveling. The "S" models are manual fill I think, there is a valve under the...

Right blinker repeater on cluster not working, left blinker ok. All outer blinkers working fine. Any clues?

Since it's an instrument cluster problem, they make LED strips to plug into the blinker harness that attaches to the top of the mirror housing. They are easier to see when they are on. TricLed, spyderpops, & maybe some others.

Anyone know what these things on the front wheels are?

Correct, Glo-Ryder lights. I had a set, but because the rim is not dished like an auto wheel, they don't light up the rim.

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

Have fun. I'm going to Caldwell, OH for a Honda NT get together this weekend. Not taking the Spyder, going on the Honda NT1100. We will be near 555, but not on it. Somewhere between Caldwell and Marrietta. There is a Triple Nickel Restaurant too that you can visit.

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

Yes, 3,000 miles (or 1 year) or an interval of your choice (read your manual). That is the first oil change #, next interval is 9,300 miles (with 10W-40 full syn) recommended, and that's what I do.

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

Good for you being able to do your own service. Yes you can do your own service, just keep records, doesn't void your warranty. As you DID read your manual about first oil change, its not 600 miles, you are correct 3,000 miles. Now its up to you if you want to change at an earlier time of miles...

    2016 F3-T SM6 with Codes C0063 and C006C - any suggestions?

With this info now, has there been any front wheel alignment recently? If you change the tie rod length, the steering angle might not come back to what the sensor was set at and give an error code.

Any concerns with the idea of buying a 2017 F3 now?

Parts are available for more than 10 yrs. Its a few dealerships that decline to work on a Spyder more than 10 yrs old. You could ask your dealership how they do this age. Or if you have a capable independent shop has the availability to work on them. Or do most of the maintenance yourself, and...

Want bright LED Turn signal indicator lights - where to tap into their circuit without CANBUS yelling at me?

Doesn't TricLed, or somebody, make a short LED strip that plugs into the turn signal harness and uses tape to secure to the top of the mirror, to make the turn signal easy to see??

Why don't you look up the part # on a bunch of different websites, and order it, then you'll absolutely get the correct size of O ring

Spyder RT Suspension feeling every bump in the road and occasionally shaking - how do I confirm if it's the shocks?

Depending how the dealership changed the tire, if they fully suspended the swing arm, the auto arm link could have been damaged or not hooked back up

Help - new tires and wheel speed sensor errors - Limp Mode with Codes C006C, C003A, C1290, & P2159. Anyone else? Any advice?

From the video there is the Centramatic wheel ring balancer on there already, so you don't need balance beads. It's under the brake rotor and slotted disk, unless he took it off. DONT THROW AWAY THE VED tire!! Keep it. And another vote to NOT put on Kenda. You can still tell them what to do...

2017 RT Battery Replaced - now to fit the accessories

I only use a maintainer in the wintertime. In warmer temps, the battery doesn't discharge as much as in the colder temps. I vary my times that I ride, could be 3-4 weeks in summer I might not ride again. Just don't have a problem with that long in the summer
