• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New rider with GPS Mount, Seating, Lighting, & accessory questions?

:welcome: For forward lighting, Lamonster has a nice set that mounts to the lower air deflectors on each side. Another version mounts to the front fender bracket and turn with steering input. Both will increase the forward lighting tremendously. You already have LED headlights that are not...

What should I look for in a mesh jacket? Any Pros & Cons?

MESH Lots of MESH You want a nice comfortable fit. Zippers that can allow even more air in on arms, wrist and body. And a removable inner liner that can be used in rain or when you run into that unexpected temperature drop.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

I don't every time, but I do inspect them and wipe the magnet clean.

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

Lets hit this from another angle. Not knowing how many oil changes have been performed previously, or the total miles driven this may be a possibility. Bubba Joe at the dealership that has been doing the oil changes may have been taking the easy way out. It's common for dealers not to...

The Fuel capacity in the owner's manual is all over the place!

Peter, what do you think about labeling all the quirks that appear in the manuals and publications as "BRP Spyderisms" ;)

What actually needs replacing when changing the rear tire?

The only thing that has to be replaced is the tire. All the other parts can be reused unless you find a defect.

Help with adjusting belt tension & alignment please? Any step-by-step guides?

Peter, every 2015+ that I have seen has the fixed nut on the left side. Of course they may do it different below the equator since y'all have to live upside down all the time. roflmao

2020 Stinger Trailer fish-tails while empty - anyone else? Ideas?

While not a likely cause, do you have a way to measure the toe in? If not you might be able to visually look at the tire tread. Toe out condition might cause this.

Any ideas on what this intermittent check engine light might mean?

Now somebody tells me this. I thought that was the way to do it. roflmao

Does my 2021 Spyder RT need a belt change? Any hints advice on how?

Been running with a hole in my belt for +/- 40,000 miles. Small rock caused it. Marked it with a white paint pen so it is easy to find and I check it periodically.

Where is the Height sensor arm located?

If the arm is in place there is a schrader valve located under the seat where you can add air to the air bag. Check the air pressure. If its below 30 you may be bottoming out. if over 75 or so it may feel like it wants to launch you off the seat everytime you it a bump. You don't say what...

What does check DPS mean ?

That would be a power steering code, but it's highly unlikely that the PS is the problem. My bets would go for the "good" battery not being fully changed, a loose battery connection, or a loose connection on the other end of the battery cables. Were you possibly trying to turn the wheels...

HD STILL can't get their tune up right!

Are you running it with the baffle? Mine changed the tone a bit but not much on the volume. It did drastically reduce the heat coming from underneath at low speeds. I hate loud pipes. I have repositioned myself in group rides and even dropped out when I get stuck behind one.
