• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HELP: U-Haul Enclosed 6’x12’ - Anyone tried one? Any tips or tricks?

I have a 6' x 12' trailer, and I have an inch between the cables that raise and lower the back door; 2 and a half inches on each side of the trailer. But that's my trailer, you won't know until you measure the trailer.

    Spyderless, but not gone!

Hi folks, sold the Spyder yesterday, going to get a Slingshot. We absolutely want to ride side by side! Won't be leaving the forum here, hoping to still contribute. I did notice that Slingshots come with Kendas, will be changing that (insert word for human excrement here) fast! Lol

2017 F3-L - How can I keep glove box shut when phone is plugged in and driving?

After having taken that whole box off of the bike when the latch was broken, I would take the Tupperware off of one side, make a hole large enough to run the cord through, and seal it. Ours is a 2014 RTS.

Rear tire mileage - How are you people getting 10,000 + miles on Kenda tires?

Unless they've changed the way the are made drastically, I wouldn't expect a change at all!

Rear tire mileage - How are you people getting 10,000 + miles on Kenda tires?

Car tires aren't recommended by BRP because they want to sell the crapola kendas! No more, no less! Thousands of satisfied Spyder drivers run car tires!

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

You know, you are correct sir. I guess my thoughts are that you seem adamant that you aren't interested in a sway bar upgrade. And EVERYTHING I have read says it's a great improvement in ride!

Spyders are New to me, and the hitch prices have a huge variation - which way should I go? Recommend any hitches?

The wonderful couple we purchased our 2014 RTS SM6 from also sold us their Aluma trailer. They had been to the West Coast 3 times pulling it with no issues!

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

DickB, I see that you posted a video on swaybars concerning cars. The Spyder is in another league! And the advice given here is from lots of folks with lots of experience! If you don't want to purchase a swaybar, then don't. However, if you do, you won't regret it!

Think of changing from a Freewheeler - is the Spyder any easier &/or safer?

I have shared this on other posts, however, this is a good post to share it again. A dear friend lost her dad and uncle, (brothers) when riding a Goldwing trike, they went to swerve for something, ran off the road and the bike fell on them and killed them both. We'll never know, however I...

Think of changing from a Freewheeler - is the Spyder any easier &/or safer?

He would love our enclosed trailer! Has Harley stickers on all four sides. We use it to transport our Spyder. I figured that no one would steal a Harley, but would the Spyder! Lol

Think of changing from a Freewheeler - is the Spyder any easier &/or safer?

In my Spyder training course we were told to run the speed up a bit and brake as hard as we could. It took a few tries; however, we finally got it. IT STOPS ON A DIME! I would imagine that if you put the Spyder and Harley along with any other trike, the Spyder will stop much sooner and much...

Broken Antenna on 2014 RTL - what size socket will take off without removing tupperware?

As I recall, I used a 9mm deepwell socket and a pair of vice grips! The antenna threads are glued on with the yellow stuff, so it takes a bit of muscle to break it loose!

So what's the difference, apart from the name? (Coilover springs)

Your comment about steering clear of stuff made in china reminds me of the friend who asked me once, "would you trust your life to a jackstand made in china!?" (china not capitalized for a reason!)

    Why E-track vs X-track? I prefer/recommend the X-track.

Hi folks, I see post where folks are using E-track for strapping down their Spyders. I would recommend looking at the X-track. It simply gives you more versatility! I haul a lot of different things in my trailer, and sometimes, I need the straps to run the other way!

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

I would make sure that your battery is fully charged. I know that you said you put a new battery in it.

Help - Looking for someone in East Tn to work on 2010 RT with Fault Codes & Limp Mode

My problem with Mountain Motorsports was that when I talked to the folks at the location in Greeneville TN about the location of the latch for the glovebox, they indicated to me that it was part of the whole glovebox assembly. So I ordered that. It arrived, nope, the latch was a separate part...

Help - Looking for someone in East Tn to work on 2010 RT with Fault Codes & Limp Mode

Racoon mentioned Mountain Motorsports. I would push my Spyder to BajaRons before driving to Mountain Motorsports!

Coming back to a Spyder - anyone found a dealer selling both BMW bikes and Spyders?

Exactly what BajaRon said! And if can get financing and insurance yourself, instead of relying on what the dealership offers, you'll come out way ahead!
