• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hope I'm not done riding my Spyder for the year?!

Year round riding here in Northern California. As long as you don't mind a little rain, mist, and fog. And that's year round. We have some nice Sunny days as well, but it is wet here. September & October are the nicest months of the year. I commuted on 2 wheelers for 17 years up here. As the...

How can you tell when it is time to replace front shocks?

What about the KYB Shocks that came on my F3S? When I was looking at the differences of the F3 & the F3S, BRP brochure said the F3S had better shocks. IDK. I've got just shy of 14k on the machine and they seem to be ok. Maybe leaning a bit more when cornering, but bumps, dips, and whatever else...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Sounds like a good time. Me and my brother do the same. I'm lucky that I can ride year round here in Northern Ca, but it can get wet. The saying here is - if you don't ride in the rain, you don't ride! I commuted here on motorcycles for 17 years. Now I just ride for fun. We have plenty of days...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

At a given speed, an engine with a less restrictive, "free-flowing" exhaust may be able to maintain that speed at a slightly lower RPM than with a more restrictive, stock exhaust. This is due to the engine producing more power at the same RPM with the upgraded exhaust, allowing the driver to...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

My tachometer tells a different story. So the engine doesn't work harder when there's a restriction in the exhaust compared to a free flowing exhaust? OK maybe I'm making the whole thing up. Why is it then, that I can run around town in 2nd gear at 34 mph without the engine sounding like its red...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I'm sure its from freeing up some back pressure. I had the same result when I did the delete pipe with stock secondary silencer.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Thanks Peter, I've got it on the lift as we speak. I'm an ASE Master Tech in automotive, heavy equipment, Marine, bla bla bla, amongst many other certs, so I'm well qualified for the inspection. I seriously thank you though for your concern and a good reminder not to just blow this off. Cheers...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode down to Fortuna, Ca to visit my Brother. We just hung out in the garage and talked motorcycles & guns. On the way home on the highway, I was doing 70mph in traffic and I noticed something in the middle of my lane, which looked like a stick. As I got closer with no way to a avoid it, I...

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

I just went down to the local Honda shop, and ordered the Yuasa.

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

I need a new battery for my 2022 F3S, and there seems to be a lot of choices and opinions. Which one is the current go to battery these days? I see Lamonsters carries a Drag specialty branded one that looks good, but not sure. Thanks for any info. I have the original Chinese battery in the...

Has anyone else experienced this Transmission Fault? Had shaft recall done, now this - any ideas?

Have you checked the Oil Level recently? I mean it was just serviced, which doesn't necessarily mean that it's right. Oops I didn't see the date on this old post.🥴

Uhhh! But at least you have the snowmobile season to look forward to. I've got rain and mist to look forward to all Winter :-(>. But while the wx is good I'll be on the F3S. 👍🏻

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

I was a cruiser rider (big bikes) most of my life, and I handled the twisties just fine at a moderate pace. I would scrape the pegs or footboards, but that was usually a wake up call to slow down a bit. I wouldn't even try to keep up with my Brother on his sport bikes, but he knew I was back...
