• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Yuasa is a top-rated motorcycle battery, made in the USA, and was original equipment on Rykers and Spyders until a couple of years ago. I got 5 years and 22K miles on the OEM Yuasa in my Ryker, and just replaced the cheap battery that died in my Spyder with a Yuasa.

    Which means in 2-3 years you need to sell and get a newer one. Except many will not buy because it is at or near 10 years old. If you are dependent on dealer servicing and intend to keep your Spyder for more than a year or two you should be looking at models only a few years old.

    Answering the OP's question, I see nothing in BUDS (earlier Spyders) to block or alter downshift points. I can't say about BUDS2 (later model years) but I'm willing to bet money.
