• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil level check results confusing to me

Idling for 10 minutes is a bad idea in any case. As already mentioned, riding is a much better approach, and more fun to boot!

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

SlingMods does a great job with their videos. The OEM plastic end links can break even with the OEM bar. But certainly, they are not going to last if an upgrade sway bar is installed. Some change just the end links for safety. They will give you a slight improvement in handling. Some notice...

You Don't Know What You've Got Till It's Gone

Lamont gave me tentative dates in September. But since he has not made them official, I don't feel I'm authorized to say anything. I'm sure he will come out with the dates in time for people to make plans.

Baja Ron Ultimate Sway Bar Endlink falling off - anyone else experiencing this issue?

That is great news! The torque spec is critical as is the loctite (which is supplied with the kit). When an installer decides they are not important, problems can occur. Glad you got it squared away.

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

If you get a battery with less than 350 CCA, you're going to have issues with the Spyder much sooner than you should. Whoever is selling you 300 CCA batteries for your Spyder is doing you no favors. But no. More CCA's than needed makes no difference to the starter. But having insufficient amp...

Bad news if you want a set of 165/60R-15 Vredestein Quatracs from tire rack!

The Conti-ProContact is a decent tire. I think you will be satisfied with that one.

Why would I have this Front wheel shake on a 2011 RT??

Cord separation can do the same thing. It will be interesting to discover the cause of this one.

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

Precise dimensions are given for batteries. It is a good idea to check size before purchasing.

Why is my Tire pressure so low?!

Frankly, I prefer a good digital gauge. Any gauge can go bad. It could have been nothing more than weak batteries in your gauge. People tend to underestimate the importance of tire pressure on a Spyder/Ryker. Front tire pressure is fairly critical on a Spyder. And it is just as important to get...

2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

Advice taken. There are good dealiers out there with good mechanics. We all know this. But this being said, the negative responses you have been getting have, unfortunately, been well earned. You have people here who both care about you, and sympathize with your situation. It's just advice, it's...

Why would I have this Front wheel shake on a 2011 RT??

Too bad you had the canister replaced. One of the best moves you can make on a 2008-2012 is to get rid of that canister altogether. It's nothing but a dangerous headache.

Why would I have this Front wheel shake on a 2011 RT??

Loose or damaged ball joints. Also, check your A-Arm bushings. Those need to be lubed fairly often. But most never do, so they wear and get sloppy.

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

A good point. That is why you need to get a "smart lithium" battery with a built-in BMS (Battery Management System). This is basicially a built in converter which delivers the correct DC voltage and current that the lithium battery needs. Not necessarily needed. Just better. If you're replacing...

Can the Spyder's battery be changed to lithium? Pro's & Con's?

Pros of a Lithium Battery: 1-Much Lighter 2-Typically more power 3-Will give you 100% of it's rating until it's nearly dead (Lead Acid will start to fall off of it's rated capacity almost as soon as it starts discharging) 4-Life span is usually better than Lead Acid if maintained well 5-Self...

Recommend any Rear shock replacements other than the $$$ Elka's??

As CrazyCooter states. There is one simple hand turn click knob that adjusts both appropriately at the same time. This is one of the things we looked for specifically.
