• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thank you mother nature for the reminder

1 - In Australia we used to be able to make and fit our own tow bar, but now it must have the manufacturers "badge" on it certifying it as genuine made by an approved manufacturer. If its not you may defected off the road or made to leave the Van\trailer on the roadside and the car inspected...

Thank you mother nature for the reminder

Yesterday I rode home from Grafton NSW and just wanted to extend my thanks to Mother Nature. The trip is about 650km ahead, and around 7 hrs ride time not including fuel stops for the '17RTL and myself. I was thinking of linking up with some mates further down the east coast at "bike night"...

What version of Windows are you using? If its Windows 10/11 Right click the Start Menu and choose Device Manager When it opens up click on the View menu and choose Show Hidden Devices When it finishes updating, click on the > symbol next to Portable Devices. Let me know if the Zumo 590LM or...

Has anybody with EBC brake pads noticed better stopping power??

That would be a "hell yes" especially under heavy braking. Heat em up and they are awesome, but with better grip comes faster wear.

My first ride in the rain

I treat my visor with Rainex, yes its supposed to damage the visor, but I replace mine at least every 6 months from scratching and havent seen any other effects. I use Rainex for plastics on the windshield, I do mine before I head off on a long trip (about once/twice a month) and again when I...

Can the bulb socket be replaced in tail light assembly RT models?

Yes, me too until I pulled the bulb out.

Can the bulb socket be replaced in tail light assembly RT models?

My 622 trailer has the same tail light assembly as my '17 RTL and the R indicator socket has lost its spring tension when holding the bulb, resulting in it not working from time to time. Is it possible to replace the socket without having to replace half of the trailer :) ? I imagine the cost...

Anyone used Pinlock Ear Plugs? Are the industrial plugs better?

Thank you for your service. Yes I can imagine they'd be wee bit loud to be around. I used earplugs when I worked in a coal fired steam driven power station, and havent been there since 2001. The pinlocks are great, but I can buy 100 industrial ones for the same prices a 2 pack Pinklock.

Anyone used Pinlock Ear Plugs? Are the industrial plugs better?

I bought a set of Pinlock ear plugs at the bke shop recently and could not believe how much less fatigued I was after a shortish 300km ride. On the weekend the little red bits in the centre fell out of both (mates suspect they are rattling inside my head somewhere and have doubled my IQ :( )...

What's causing this Wobble while braking?

In my case on my '17 RTL it was a tie rod/ball joint. It had been at the dealership for a month before they picked it up (in their words "the computer says everything is ok"). They really dont like hard ABS inducing braking (where the rear wheel gets airborn) at hi speed. If you've had one of...

Long term storage of spare tyre - how?

Yes for some its mileage, but for me its better wet weather grip, better performance when I like to play, less vibration, and way better braking distance.

RT622 Trailer weather seal kit fm Spyderpops won't quite fit - what've I missed?

Ironically your comment is exactly what I am beginning to feel is the issue. The kit is narrower than the old seal.

    Fuel Injector Cleaner When/How Much

I had this same question recently. I've resorted to adding in an injector cleaner fluid every 5-10 thousand Kms with doses per the products instructions. Prior to this there would be times where my '17RTL would hesitate coming out of a stop sign, but haven't experienced it since doing this (it...

RT622 Trailer weather seal kit fm Spyderpops won't quite fit - what've I missed?

I recently purchased the replacement weather seal kit for the hoods on my 622 trailer from Spyderpops. After fitting the new seal I noticed the seal doesn't make contact with the hoods in some places, which would allow water+ wind to get in and dust. Is there an adjustment somewhere that I...

Long term storage of spare tyre - how?

I have just purchased a new rear tyre for my '17 RTL and the dealership offered a discount if I bought 2. Does anyone out there in tyre land know the best way to store the tyre for say 12 months. I've heard: Dont need to do anything wrap it in plastic Wrap it in plastic sandwich wrap/cling...
