• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder pricing (looking for my first) - which do you think is the better deal?

I bought my F3 from them this past May. I personally, would not take my Spyder back to them for service, or for any reason. If you'd like to know why ask me with a PM. I'd rather not have my post deleted if I can help it. Heck, this post will probably get deleted anyway.

Nice to see a good story once in a while as opposed to the doom and gloom of the times.

Spyderlovers IS NOT UNSAFE - the Security Certificate did Expire, but is now renewed!

It seems that there's more going on than just an expired security license, at least for me here. After clicking past the warnings, it seems that many of the buttons on the site do not work properly. I'll click on Reply, and it does nothing. If I refresh the screen, it works.

Any reason I can't leave the Plastic Cover underneath off to check for oil leaks?

Who changed the oil last? I suspect that the drain plug wasn't tightened properly when last done. Plugs don't typically loosen up by themselves if properly tightened.

Spyderlovers IS NOT UNSAFE - the Security Certificate did Expire, but is now renewed!

Just now, when I attempted to enter this site, I received a warning message that the site is unsafe and not secure and that I should not proceed and if I do, I'm doing so at my own risk. Normally the URL starts with https, which indicates a secure site. Right now, the https section of the URL...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I was working in my garage as it was getting dark outside when I got started. I took the F3 for a fill-up (93 octane) and dumped in 3oz of Sta-bil. Brought her home and made a mess. I still gotta get out there and finish the cleanup. I spread some sawdust over the oil spill and that's what...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Changed the oil in my Spyder for the first time ever yesterday. I put my F3 up on my homemade ramps, just the first step on the ramps, which is only 1.5" front and back. Just enough to get the drain pan underneath and have a bit of working room. That's a weird drain plug for the engine. As...

Your Weather News @ NOVEMBER Edition 2024

Near 60f today, then the bottom falls out. Snow predicted for Wednesday night into Thursday. Gotta get the oil changed in both my Spyder and my Miata this afternoon. Which means running into town and filling them both up with 93 octane after adding the required amount of Sta-bil. I'll be...

    Random thought for the day

A few years ago, WD had a special on a three can pack of WD-40. Two cans were the modern version and the third was the retro can you're showing. I still have it, never used.

    Random thought for the day

Even my wife laughed at that one. You can't shush the truth people; you can't shush the truth.

New Spyder sold with no factory warranty - is this right? What say you all?

As others have asked, how much of a discount did you get on the Spyder and how much for the extended warranty? If the discount was large enough, it might be worth it.

F3 LTD owners - how do you run wires fm dash top compartment to h/bars?

My phone? It's not overheating at all, hardly even gets warm sitting in the mount, unless the sun has been shining on it for a while.

F3 LTD owners - how do you run wires fm dash top compartment to h/bars?

I don't know what the spec is for the USB's on the 2020 F3 Ltd but on my 2023 the USB port in the underwindshield compartment WILL source enough current to charge my iPhone 15. Since you stated that yours doesn't charge, I would suspect the cable that you're using isn't up to the task. As for...

Any recommendations on License plate installation for a '23 F3 Ltd?

As Racoon said, there's a stock location for a license plate and it's VERY obvious where that location is. Sounds like you might have the same Spyder that I do and there's no missing where the plate goes.

Looking to get a new '23 F3 S Special Series - what windshield & longer footboards?

I have the same Spyder as Purpleon3 and I personally like the stock windshield. If I could change one thing about it, it would be tinted slightly.

I fixed all of my clocks this morning and then I started my Spyder... :(

Of course not. But if you have a smart phone why not pair it with your Spyder and have this feature enabled? Hmmm, that's a toughie. What ever could you possibly do? I guess you'll just have to do without an accurate clock, eh?
