• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Long did BRP take to contact you after your Spyder purchase, if at all??

All but one, maybe two if you count our motorhome. The one that I mentioned is a Kawasaki MC and I received correspondence from Kaw within two weeks of buying the bike. I also received correspondence from the manufacturer of the motorhome in a timely manner after purchase.

How Long did BRP take to contact you after your Spyder purchase, if at all??

Did you buy new or used? If used, why would BRP contact you anyway? They may not even know that you bought their product. I don't think that most of us in this thread were talking about surveys only, I know that I wasn't. I was talking about BRP at least acknowledging my purchase of one of...

After hearing so much hoopla, I finally tried Buc-ee's! Never Again!

Hate is such a strong emotion. I don't hate Buc-ee's at all, hate no. Dislike immensely, yes! I reserve hate for people and things that really deserve it, like today's politicians.

Tech and science can't be dumbed down so that the average dummy can understand it, that's just the nature of these things... The average dummy doesn't need to understand anyways, leave that to the smart folks.

Should I be looking at a left-over 2024 Spyder or risking any price increase on new?

Salespeople being salespeople will jack the prices up, tariffs or not, if they can get away with it. They'll rationalize the price increase on the non-tariffed stock in some way and pass that on to the consumer. That's the nature of business.

In search of an Ultimate Trailer OHT3 designed for hauling Spyders - any input?

I have a 14' V nosed enclosed trailer w/drop down ramp that works perfectly for the Spyder.

Any problem transporting a Spyder RT (2015) on Flatbed without wheel chocks.

IMO you should be ok with just straps. I used both straps and chocks in my enclosed trailer. Just a bit of extra peace of mind. Chocks are inexpensive and easy.

    Random thought for the day

I can't find the picture at the moment but several years ago, after our son moved to Tennessee. We were visiting him and his family; we went on a picnic at a nearby park. A river ran through the park and there was a large sign posted near the water's edge. NO Swimming Snakes That sign...

After owning 3, lack of dealer support is forcing me to give up on Spyders!

87 and 92 and still riding!!! My hat's off to you guys! Especially you Gerald! 87 and considering going back to two wheels? Wow! I'm nowhere near that age, yet, but I'm still on two, three, and four wheels. Ever thought of buying a convertible? We have a Mazda Miata soft top w/six speed...

Springtime Pre-flight Inspection - don't skip over the first brake fluid change!

As I said, do a search online as to how to do this with a meter.

Do you use Color Correct O-rings?

I bought the Can-Am/XPS kit for my F3 and all the O-rings that came with it matched up in color to the OEMs.

Springtime Pre-flight Inspection - don't skip over the first brake fluid change!

You can also test your brake fluid's moisture content using a multimeter, this is actually how these pens work too. Do a search and you'll see how to do this. I have a testing pen along with a number of multimeters. Both methods work.

Seat latch won't open - any new ideas?

Such a stupid way to do things! I just don't understand why BRP adds complexity to a system that does NOT need to be complex. As we ALL know, the more complex a system is, the more of a chance that it'll break at some point. KISS Keep It Simple Stupid! Mechanical cables connected to the...

Does your Phone Charge via BRP Connect's USB Plug/Cable?

The glovebox USB port can source 2.1 amps @5vdc which is 10.5 watts. I'm quite sure that the GPS chip in the phone, along with the aps mentioned, are not going to draw more current than it takes to charge the phone's battery.
