• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Random thought for the day

Being a happily retired guy I almost never set an alarm anymore. :p

Is this KickzSoleShine guy a scammer? Anyone dealt with him?

The first time a person told me to pay through PayPal Friends and Family, which I didn't know about, I just used regular PayPal. He rejected the payment and told me to use PayPal Friends and Family. Having never heard of it, I did some research, and then told him I would not be using Friends and...

Is this KickzSoleShine guy a scammer? Anyone dealt with him?

If it's on Facebook Marketplace it's probably a scam, but that's just my personal opinion. Also, if anyone asks you to use PayPal Friends and Family it is - definitely - a scam. Regular PayPal is pretty good for protecting both buyers and sellers, but the 'Friends and Family' version is...

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

My apologies. I found that based on Badkarma's post, but now I realize Badkarma hasn't provided the year of their Spyder. A bit more digging, and the product was made by Spyder Extras. Looks like they have three different "kits" for brake rods, but all are for more recent models. I would reach...

What is the current FOBO2 Firmware Version?

A quick Google search says you use the FOBO Bike 2 app to update the sensors, so why not use it to see if there's an update?

Is there a paper Ryker Shop manual?

I'm not aware of any place you can buy a printed copy of the shop manual. I know that my dealer has paper copies. I know where you can buy and download an Acrobat PDF copy of the Shop Repair and Maintenance manual. The benefit of an electronic copy is that you can print the pages you need to do...

CarPlay Froze, then entire Head Unit Froze Up While Riding, then supposedly updated and rebooted on the Highway - Anyone else had this happen?

I retired after way too many years working in the computer software industry, and have done my fair share of software testing of new versions. If they gave me a Spyder and asked me to be a tester I'd agree. But I paid way too much money for a beta version.

    2012 RT experiencing mushy brakes

Looking "clean" does not mean the brake fluid is good. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means over time it absorbs moisture from the air. Water is more compressible than brake fluid, so brake functions degrade. I don't have a copy of the 2012 Operator's Guide, but the 2011 guide says to...

Does anyone know (or can measure) their Canyon's rear tire tread depth?

I think I'd start checking for wear bars about 3,000 miles from now.

Does anyone know (or can measure) their Canyon's rear tire tread depth?

A bit of searching and I found that rear tire on a Canyon is a K225/50R15 84H. More time with Google says it has a tread depth of 8 mm, or .315 inches. 8/32 is .25 inches, so you are showing 0.065 inches of wear.

Or Apple fixing the iOS update before it's released. I just checked, and the iOS 26 update is supposed be announced on Sep 9, and released on Sep 15. I think I'm going to wait awhile before updating my iPhone.

Has anyone used one of these trailers? Any doubts?

I just went through the steps, and it is NOT cheap. It goes for US $89.95 per day. A 6'x12' trailer with a full width ramp goes for US $34.95 per day.

Has anyone used one of these trailers? Any doubts?

I checked one of the U-Haul locations in my area and found a listing for: Toy Hauler - 16ft Flatbed Utility Trailer https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/16ft-Flatbed-Utility-Car-Trailer-Rental/TH/ "...16-foot deck, drive-over fenders, and three 8-foot ramps..." And just to be clear, I just checked...
