• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I washed it a few days ago. Today I it out for a lunch run with my bride. Normally it is a 28 mile (41 minute) shot from our home to the restaurant, but we took the 68 mile (1 hour 20) scenic route today. The more we ride the Spyder, the more we love it. Now that the temperature is more...

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

FWIW I really enjoyed the twisties on two wheels and not so much on the Spyder. However after 1400 miles and the Baja Ron Ultimate and his JRI shocks I now really enjoy the twisties on the Spyder.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took my 40 year old son for a ride today, he liked it. Also got a chance to see if I had set the preload on the new front shocks correctly. Had to have two up heavy, engine running and self leveling active to make sure I had between 3.5 and 4 inches of clearance at the middle frame and I did...

How can you tell when it is time to replace front shocks?

I changed mine out at 1200 miles, should have done it the day I rode the bike home.

Anyone installed a/mkt trailer wiring on 2024 RT?

Yes the 24 needs the added power line which is no longer there in the factory harness. But all you need to do is run a 12 volt line back to the module.

What is the measurement top to bottom in the middle? May be interested.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I spent the morning installing the TricLED fender lights that replace the reflectors. The video shows removing the fender to do the install and for me that would be 5 bolts and a set of Dynamic Driving Lights to remove just to get the fenders off. Well, there are only 3 lug nuts on the wheels...

2024 RT limited and I’m experiencing the main display going blank

I would remove the data blocker and leave your phone unplugged and see what happens. I have had mine for almost a year now and never saw the display blank out.

New Update Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

I did not use the Can Am camera, I used the $40 unit off Amazon mounted through a small hole under the license plate. See post # 36. The male part of the connector is already on the receptacle it is just not populated with pins. I had some small crimp on pins and used then in the connector.

New Update Nov 30 '24 - anyone updated their '24 RT? What does it do?

Yes, IF you have the connector (circled in red) on the back side of the bike it will work. You do have to go into your configuration to turn on the camera. If you don't see "enable camera", then just scroll down and it is there on the configure screen.

How I connected my 2024 RTL to a Bushtec Trailer with independent Tail, Brake and Turn signals

Yup those three are where the camera feed goes. I have seen posts in the past where Show Chrome provided the harness with the extra jumpers to keep the camera functionality.

No indication of P on the dash but the Park Brake is set & the Brake Not Set Warning beeps - any suggestions?

I don't know about the 2019 Ryker but the 2024 RTL has a switch mounted on the parking brake motor that tells the bike if the brake is set. That is where I would start looking. Follow the parking brake cable back up to the motor.

A paltry 1,000 mile ride in God's country.

Those are my favorite hangouts, just have not made it up there yet on three wheels, maybe in October.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode to the gym today (I go 3 x a week just to keep the old man out) and got a "!" on the lower bar and an amber message in the upper part that said "Loss of communication with the ECU". It lasted about a minute and then went away. Everything was working fine the whole time. It was not there...

Is this Krikit Belt Tension still too tight?

FWIW The link to the Sonic Tool in post #22 above is not what you think it is.

Will upgrading the Sway Bar and fitting larger tires improve the ride?

On my 24 RTL I added both front shocks and an upgraded sway bar (I still have the OEM tires with only 1400 miles on them) and the ride was immediately better for both me and the wife. The Sway bar upgrade will help mostly with cornering, while the shocks also handle road roughness.

First ride after adding seat gel hoping for more comfort, but nope, no change! What to do? Anybody made theirs better?

If you are not ready for the custom seat use a combination of gel, beaded and sheepskin and MIX them up on your ride. First gas stop switch one out and so on. Before I got my Russell I made the mistake of running beaded all day on a trip to Wisconsin and on day two I tossed the beads as I...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today we went on a nice 100+ mile ride around our favorite TN and AL back roads, the ride was a dream after installing the BajaRon shocks and sway bar. Rough roads a tamer and the bike just feels planted now. I have discovered that the MTE display counts down to 20 then you get dashed lines...

2023 RT Cruise control needs to turn past set point to accelerate - is this right?

Some bikes the throttle grip goes (moves) with the speed set while I have noticed the Spyder throttle grip does not follow the speed set, so yes you have to roll past where it is set to effect acceleration. That is because there is no throttle cable to move with the grip it is fly by wire.
