• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are there any Can-Am Bluetooth Tutorials? Anyone willing to do one?

Thanks, I'll have another look. It seems to be the interactions between various BT systems and modules that usually get cofusing.

Are there any Can-Am Bluetooth Tutorials? Anyone willing to do one?

I have a 2021 F3 Limited. Bluetooth seems to be a buggy implementation or else I am not knowledgeable on BRP BT implementation. I'm wondering if there are any tutorials or experts willing to do a on-line seminar on Can-Am Bluetooth? What I need to know: Goals of BRP BT implementation (how...

Trunk Lid Dropping - any adjustment or fix?

"started with the addition of the rack" This was the case for me also. I need to look for a fix. I would think there would be a gas strut that could be added to solve this issue?

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

My first bike was a Honda 100cc . But I lived in Kansas where, at that time, you didn't need a special motorcycle endorsement. Later in Ohio, I took the test on a Honda 450 with no problem since I had been riding for a few years. Of course, being in my early 20's it was probably easier than if...

Repairing some paint chips - what touch-up kits are there?

Never mind ... thanks. I found a color-matched kit at scratcheshappen.com that lists kits by year and color. I'll see how it works.

Repairing some paint chips - what touch-up kits are there?

I managed to get a few chips in the paint of my Glacial Blue F3L. Does anyone make a color matched touch-up kit. E.g. one of those little bottles with a self contained brush to cover up paint chips?

Dual horns - will the factory circuit support a 2nd horn?

I used a relay kit from Amazon to connect dual horns. I'm not sure it was necessary. But it seemed to be in doubt. This kit switches full power from the battery to the horns via a relay switch activated by the factory horn button circuit.

Any insights on removing the rear seat on an F3-T?

Any luck on your rear seat latch? For what it's worth, when I got a new seat, I had to move the latch thing from the old to the new seat base. I must have put it on too far/tight. To get the latch to let go, I had to be sitting down hard on the seat while someone turned the key. My weight took...

A front wheel WILL come off the ground (I found out this weekend)

Now that I know it can happen, I don't really have any intention to do pop up a wheel again, certainly not on purpose. Perhaps if it happens during an evasive maneuver, I will expect it and lean more in preparation? It's like when I was a teenage driver, many years ago, we would take our cars...

Where can I get #5 brake and shifter rods? BRP Not in Stock!

I purchased an aftermarket brake connecting rod because I wanted a slightly different length. The reason is to lower the height of the brake pedal a bit. It makes it much easier to move my foot to the brake pedal (and faster too) since I no longer have to lift my whole leg to get my foot on the...

What Loud Horns are available for Spyders?

I didn't like the"road-runner" beep-beep horn on my Spyder. So I purchased a dual horn set (~$15 at geek dot com). The dual horn set I had purchased claimed to be 300 dB. But anyone familiar with sound knows that claim would be BS and, if accurate, would damage your hearing. But regardless, it...

What Loud Horns are available for Spyders?

The dual horn set I had purchased claimed to be 300 dB. But anyone familiar with sound knows that claim is BS. But, regardless, it is plenty loud. I ordered a FARBIN Horn Wiring Harness Relay Kit off Amazon for about $10. It simply uses the standard horn wires to activate a relay that feeds...

What Loud Horns are available for Spyders?

I have as set of horns to install. You suggested a relay? Is there inadequate power to operate a set of standard-type horns? Or are you suggesting that the Spyder horn wire needs to activate a relay that gets its power from a separate 12v source (e.g. accessory line or battery direct)?

    Anyone experimented with Windshield extensions?

Look forward to your results. I am 6'3" so I added one (sorry about the low quality picture inside my garage) with low expectations. My intent was a cheap (~$20) way to determine if a higher windshield would help. But it far exceeded my expectations and I am quite pleased with the results.

    Was it a flip of a coin - Heads it's Torx/Tails it's Hex?

I agree. They are great for self tapping screws. My confusion is - that why not use all torx (or Hex) on the Spyder. Why some of each???

A front wheel WILL come off the ground (I found out this weekend)

Sounds the same as my (our) experience. I just instinctively backed of the throttle immediately and it came back down. There was no interference from the nanny. Apparently because it was quick, no brake, and no significant slowing of the lifted wheel. But I was looking at the dash and wondering...

A front wheel WILL come off the ground (I found out this weekend)

I was sort of shooting a gap to make a left turn at an intersection. We were probably going only ~10 mph (I'd guess). I was in a low gear, made a sharp left as I hit the throttle. The front left wheel came off the ground. :lecturef_smilie: I hadn't experienced this before. I quickly backed off...

    Was it a flip of a coin - Heads it's Torx/Tails it's Hex?

I have to wonder, when ever a bolt was needed in the design of the Can-Am Spyder, did someone there flip a coin .... heads it's Torx / tails its Hex ?

What's the best belt tensioner? What are you using?

I appreciate all the information (discussion, experience, and opinions) regarding belt tensioners. I was getting the belt vibrations and could hear it fairly strong at around 65-70mph. (Not "Good Vibrations" leave that to the Beach Boys :ohyea: ) It seemed to make sense to me that changing the...
