• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many of you carry a laptop and BUDS2 with you on long trips just in case of faults?

I think it would be of limited use. While you can clear non-recurring faults from the history, and may be able to clear a fault with the machine off, if the root cause has not been fixed the fault is just going to recur. I suppose it would be useful if you have an intermittent fault causing limp...

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

The stock links do not measurably stretch or compress. Aluminum stretches and compresses, but not so that it matters.

Can anyone explain what aftermarket end links actually DO?

I guess you need to explain to me how the fundamentals are different, as I am uneducated.

Just bought my first Spyder! Considering buying a warranty as it sat for 4 years - your thoughts?

I would not be too concerned about it sitting for 4 years. Change all the fluids including brake fluid as was recommended. Put fresh gas in. Check the date code on the tires - generally recommended to replace them after 7-10 years regardless of wear. I bought a 2014 RSS with only 1900 miles on...

Soft brake pedal on 2023 Ryker 600 with 1,000km - is this normal?

My 2019 Rally, bought used with 2500 miles two years old, was the most unreliable motorcycle I have owned. It had A broken roller on the driven pulley almost immediately. A botched fix (which the dealer did promptly correct) that left me stranded 20 miles from the dealer. Very early Nanny...

Speedometer accuracy - when I set my Cruise to a certain speed, the speedo doesn't match - any others??

My speedometer was reading 2-3 mph fast. I corrected it using BUDS Megatech with some trial and error.

Left Speaker cover needed - any ideas on where to get one? 2013 ST + USB Issues?

I think this may be the part. Best to check with a dealer. Looks like the grill is not available as a separate part.

Is this a Major Electrical Short??? Any suggestions?

The ECM has nothing to do with windshield etc. I wouldn't be looking there.

Is this a Major Electrical Short??? Any suggestions?

Actually it looks like the Main Relay 2 and the Cooling Fan Relay may be the same. If the part numbers on the relays are indeed the same, try swapping them.

Is this a Major Electrical Short??? Any suggestions?

There are two main relays. One powers the SAS, YRS, VCM, ECM, DESS, and more. Power to those would permit the engine to start and run. The other relay powers the TCM (Transmission Control Module), DPS (Dynamic Power Steering), WPM (Windshield and Parking brake Module), and more, all stuff that...

Is this a Major Electrical Short??? Any suggestions?

You said it starts and runs. I need to know if the cluster works.

    Interesting Throttle Mod Video

I lost respect for Banks after watching this video: The pedal is being pressed relatively slowly, so in stock configuration the butterfly is going to respond in a similar fashion. With the device activated, the pedal becomes much more sensitive, so naturally the butterfly is going to open...

2013 STS Speedo Back light not working - easy repair or complete gauge replacement?

I'd be betting on LEDs on a printed circuit board in the gauge, not really user replaceable. You'd either have to disassemble and solder in a new LED or replace the whole cluster. I'm an electrical engineer and electronics hobbyist and have repaired and build my own circuit boards. The RPM...

Need to know how to use the 529036476 Spacer to set my Ryker's SAS to zero?

You're overthinking this. Why a slot instead of a hole? Who knows? Maybe the spacer has other applications on different vehicles. Just use it as illustrated. And yes, you could make your own.

Need to know how to use the 529036476 Spacer to set my Ryker's SAS to zero?

I guess I don't understand. Center the handlebars, slip the spacer underneath the arm, insert the countersunk screw through the arm and spacer and tighten.

Is this a Major Electrical Short??? Any suggestions?

Post photos of the relays with the part numbers readable and I'll tell you how to test them.
