• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2021 belt tension/high speed vibration :(

I may not be far from installing a belt tensioner/dampener as well. I really don’t want to do this but if I decide to spend much time doing Hwy miles on a trip then I will probably do the installation. Does the Lamonster belt dampener use the same mounting bracket as the BRP Belt dampener. I...

    Tire wear bars

Thanks all for the comments. I will take a closer look tomorrow. I’m thinking what I was looking at may be the rubber support blocks as threewheels mentioned. Blueknight, I’m not sure exactly which tire I have but It’s the tire that came new from the factory. Poasttown

    Tire wear bars

I have a few questions concerning the original Kenda tires on my 2019 F3L. I’m seeing the wear bars, I’m assuming wear bars, there isn’t an indicator on the sidewall as I would expect. Sure looks as if there is a lot of tread remaining once the bars are reached. Q1. Is there a reason why so...

Why does the 2019 F3 Limited not come with a Belt tensioner and roller?

I have ask the same question Bluebelle. My F3L does the same thing and really gets a severe vibration in the high 70 mph range. I don’t ride in the mid seventies often but when on the interstate it’s more common. Staying in the slow lane and below the traffic flow, just so the bike doesn’t...

What is this Unknown dash icon?

Flamewinger That is the symbol, thanks. The next time I have the bike out I will push the joystick and see if the vertical line moves. Poasttown

What is this Unknown dash icon?

Trikermutha XM radio, If you are referring to a subscription service, maybe, but I don’t have this service. This icon is depicted on page 35 of my manual. I did notice that the line would flip between vertical to angled going down the road. I’m still leaning toward signal strength or stereo mode.

What is this Unknown dash icon?

I have an icon on my instrument cluster that I can’t seem to identify. I’ve searched through the manual and can’t seem to find any reference to it. It’s a small circle icon, just below the radio mute icon in the lower right of the cluster, which has an open top with a vertical line coming out...

Thinking of purchasing a Spyder Touring

I took the BRP rider/safety course for a number of reasons including; getting a comprehensive introduction to the spyder, experienced a lot of the lower speed operational characteristics of the bike, was able to ride a couple models of the bike and was able to spend a half day riding the spyder...

    998cc Removing the cylinder head

If the bendy straw fails to work I wonder if a short small diameter rubber hose attached to your sweeper hose might work. Poasttown

    Bump Steer

Buttersmooth I understand what you are saying because I often ride similar roads. I installed a BaJa Ron Sway bar which helped and installed passenger BRP armrests which also helped. My wife is happy overall with the ride of the spyder and long rides are more pleasant even though she is happier...

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

Follow-up. I did meet with my mechanic and he did take the bike for a test drive. He agreed that the vibration was from the belt and that a belt tensioner would be of some help. Knowing that the belt is likely the issue and not any other major cause I think I can live with this for now. So...

Belt tensioner Roller failed, ruined my belt.

I’m getting a strong vibration at 77 mph (2019 F3L) which isn’t a huge issue under normal riding conditions. However, there are on rare occasions when I want to reach this speed on the highway. Pretty sure it is a belt vibration and the dealer seems to agree but I’m going to take it in for...

F3L Driver seat - any more comfortable options?

Air Hawk seat cushion question. Which style works best for the F3? They make threes sizes cruiser large, medium and small. I think I understood on a blog somewhere that even though the large seems like the size to use, the medium may be better suited foe the F3. Any comments from users? I may...

    Gas Cap Leak

This may be related or not to the issue. A few days ago after a few hour ride I could hear a faint whistling sound. I traced the whistle to my fuel cap and when I open the cap the whistle stopped. Not sure if air was trying to get in or out but I would think the vent (wherever it is) should have...

    Removing tupperware

Thanks everyone for your comments. I’m leaning toward letting the dealer replace this panel. They ordered the panel and I have it and I thought I would do it if it was fairly easy, looks like it’s not. I might be more motivated to change this but since thIs job was part of the purchase “ it’s...

    Removing tupperware

There was a small blemish/dent in this panel when purchased and the dealer agreed to provide and replace this panel as part of the purchase deal. I thought I would go ahead and replace myself when I do an oil change since I have to remove some panels anyway. These panels seems fairly easy to...

    Removing tupperware

I’m looking for instructions, preferably a video, on how to remove two body panels on my 2019 F3L. The specific panels I’m referring to are the ones on each side of the gas cap and handle bars, directly above the removable oil check panel. These two panels sit on top of the large Tupperware...

    Not yet a Spyder owner

Gregg I can relate to your concerns. This “back and forth” motion was an issue for me plus I was concerned about how it would affect my passenger, which it did. I added a few accessories which helped in this area including Baha Ron sway bar and OEM arm rests for my passenger. In addition, all...
