• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Did you do both rotors or only the offending one? Nvm; I looked back and saw you got the set.

Have you experienced any Road rage incidents?

I've had cage drivers act out after making a clean pass (even if it wasn't technically legal) and try some crazy stuff. It's not hard when we have the hp advantage. Crank it up to 125mph for a few mins and if there are corners coming up, it's even easier to lose them! The main thing I think...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

We have been battling a front vibe issue while on the brake as well. It's the LF wheel because I can see the fender shaking only when on the brake. I took the rotor off and scuffed it in on the lathe with a flapper wheel with no change, hoping it was maybe some ceramic friction embedded into the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Easy, but I do this work for a living and have all the trick tools? I was swapping on a new tire, so that made the shock r&r much easier.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Oil Change and swapped in the 600lb spring onto the rear Elka shock.

M2 shocks closing doors in 2 weeks! Announced 1st week of Sept '24.

@cmarsala, if your shocks have Bilstein seal heads, I probably have parts on the shelf. Where are you located?

Just ordered a Wilbers 640 rear shock! :)

Yes, gave them A LOT of data points on rider profile, use, loads carried, and mods to the bike such as Ron's sway bar. The tech crew was completely unavailable (they never return VM's) to me even though I'm a dealer and everything has to go through a salesman. I think a lot is lost in the...

Just ordered a Wilbers 640 rear shock! :)

Air pressure required to level is going to depend on a combination of shock length, spring rate, and preload? I measured the RT before removing the shock with the air dumped so that I could duplicate it after reassembly with the preload collar thinking this would put us real close to OEM...

Can you feel any Difference in the Suspension between an XT and a RedRock Canyon?

That would make the rebound damping issue I loathe even worse. Adding air to the bag increases suspension ride frequency requiring less compression/more rebound damping for a balanced result. Does a underinflated or overinflated basketball return to your hand quicker?

Just ordered a Wilbers 640 rear shock! :)

105N/mm is 600lbs/in... I would think that would be right in the ballpark to replace the air assist with the aggressive progressive ramp up. I have a 600lb spring sitting here for our RTL that I need to swap in. Hoping for really low air pressure (5-20psi) in the bag when solo and a healthy...

Not Your Average Oil Thread - New oil, clutch 'Chirping' at idle?!

We run the MCF in our 2023 as I have in many of my bikes over the years. I noted a little surging or clutch engagement right off idle after a couple thousand miles but everything good after warm up. We then picked up a chirp right after starting since installing a Noco LiFePO4 battery? I have...

Can you feel any Difference in the Suspension between an XT and a RedRock Canyon?

It was outside, engine running, and my wife rode it down to a flat area to check it out. Feels worse that a floppy POS RT out of the box... not something I would want to take off a smooth road. That is to be somewhat expected since it is a bit taller, so leverage due to the higher roll center is...

Can you feel any Difference in the Suspension between an XT and a RedRock Canyon?

We sat on a base model yesterday (no luggage) and the first thing I noticed was how much it rocked side to side, then how soft/under damped it was in the rear. Much like our 23 RTL before we swapped on the Elkas. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if they use the same shocks. The salesman was trying...

Does anyone know when/if BRP will or have started Canyon Production?

I just reached out to the same dealer who told me they didn't order any when I saw an XT pop up on their website... They did indeed get one. Typical dealer incompetence and communication. I gotta think they could be so much more profitable and efficient IF things were actually run properly?! I...

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

T4 meets JASO MA and MA 2 spec? Sure it works, but I have always questioned whether it is the best solution, despite so many using it as a universal budget solution!? I personally prefer to run an oil specifically formulated for a given application. There is a reason why many formulators offer...

Appreciate you Lamont!!! I don't even have a Canyon but appreciate you guys that jump in and start the process on the new machines by diving in and doing for others.

22 Spyder RT Brake issues - EBC Rotor larger than OEM & abnormal/uneven pad wear. Does any of this make sense?

Common, Ron... You know the drill! All of us with the knowledge, charging shop rates is just ripping people off! ;)

On a Trail Rating System, I believe a Canyon Redrock can travel Level 2 Routes

We find the ground clearance borderline on the RT for traveling just the paved backroads around here! I'd kill for 6"+ ground clearance. Also hoping the KYB's on the Red Rock will at least be a usable piece of hardware after springs and tuning. Since we ride mostly 250+ mile days, I definitely...

NAPA Oil test results Shell Rotella T6 15W-40

I would guess we will have 7k on this oil change before it actually gets done. If the UOA comes back great, I'll go for the 9600 next time. If it looks kinda roached then we will shoot for 5k next time. I have run 75K on the same oil with make up added and filters swapped on my trucks and have...

NAPA Oil test results Shell Rotella T6 15W-40

On bikes like my KTM 1290, we have no issues going 10K+ miles with OUA coming back good for continued use. That is a lighter machine with much less drag, so maybe these pigs just work harder. I think my wife might be a bit more aggressive than average when the OEM tire was wasted right at 5k...
