• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it OK to put new battery on tender all winter that has never been used?

Personally I would put it on the tender until it says it's charged, then take it off the tender for the balance of the winter. Put it back on the tender a few days before you expect to use it. Between 4 snowmobiles and my Spyder it seems like the batteries that had been left on the tenders the...

The most dangerous place on earth for me.

Pete, I hope your recovery continues to go well. I broke my ankle slipping on ice about 4 years ago. Luckily I didn't need any surgery and I was pretty much back in regular activities in 4 weeks time but had to be careful and gentle. Now I'm much more afraid of walking on ice than I ever used...

    great oil drain pan

Tenin, thanks for posting this. I need a new drain pan as my old one is too small and I end up spilling oil. There's an O'Reilly's about 2 miles away from me and has the pan in stock so I'll pick one up today.

Where can I get #5 brake and shifter rods? BRP Not in Stock!

I wouldn't trust the BRP site for inventory. If you can't find them on ebay call a dealer and have them order the parts.

I'm thinking about attending Deadwood next year. Debating whether or not to ryde all the way or trailer The Thing out there... I did a 3,000 mile trip to Cape Breton and Nova Scotia this past June. I figure going to Deadwood would be at least 5,000 miles round trip for me coming from...

1330 SE6 Clutch engagement at idle problem

I knew someone would comment about the parts laid on the floor. They are a very busy shop and squeezed me in. But they know what they're doing and their shop is not so disorganized as it looks in the picture. The problem was a loose clutch hub nut. They think the factory forgot to loctite...

Nope. I had about 4,000 miles since last oil change. I changed the oil and HCM filter hoping it would help but it made no difference.
